Mazda Miata MX-5 New Turbo & Manifold

Mazda Miata MX-5 1.8L Turbo Mainfold and JDM T25/T28 Turbo
NEW, never used.
Includes all gaskets, manifold gasket, turbo off manifold gasket and down pipe gasket.
Chrome manifold, fits perfectly
T25/T28 Hybrid Turbo – oil and water cooled
Fits 1.8L Mazda Miata MX-5 engines
Waste gate set at 7psi, external waste gate

I am very tempted to buy this. I had plans on doing things right the first time (v-band, Garrett), but this might be perfect for me to learn on before moving up. I already have MS/LC-1 for management, but almost everything else is unmodified. Do you guys think that it would be a good idea to start here for learning (not for power), or should I save up for later and do it right the first time? Considering I would fabricate the downpipe/intake myself, I would be down about $400 when I decide to switch.

I daily drive/autox non-competition now, but have plans on going to the track later. (not with this junk)

I also noticed there is no EGR bung on the manifold. Can I place a blocking plate on the EGR valve with no ill effects aside mileage? EDIT: nvm, I can.
