Bodywork and paint should be done by next weekend. I spent 3 days cleaning all the bodyshop dust off the engine bay, interior, trunk, weather stripping, you ******* name it, it was caked with dust.
I put 5 gallons of fresh gas in, seeing the gas is well over a year old. At least it was on empty. Runs ok, but I cant expect much seeing how long its been sitting.
Plan is flatbed it to the dyno once the paint is done and have it tuned. Once thats done I need to swap in the cat and pass emissions and renew my registration.
I didn't want to get carried away with the paint and bodylines, so I'm gonna have him spray the hood, headlights, windshield frame, and tops of the mirrors gloss black like the hardtop. Then everything else will be the OEM mariner blue. Replace the wheels with some proper 6ULs in black and I should be good to go.
I know I'm not done, so I already have the next projects lined up as money allows. Corrado brake swap on the front and a pair of harddog door bars are next on the list.

Thanks guys I think the 6ULs will make the car look overall much better. I feel like this wheel/tire combo ***** up the whole look I'm going for.
This hood had some time in the rain when it was just sitting outside. And this one is nice cause the rain doesn't pour onto the spark plug cover. My FM hood was notorious for leaving a pond on the valve cover. When I washed the car the other day I just popped the hood and dried up all the water that got through the vents. You dont have to I guess, but I get carried away and dry up every drop of water on the car when I wash it.
The gaps between the fenders and hood fit fine right out of the box. It was where the hood meets the CF headlights thats ******* me up. The bodyshop guys have to do some more work to even them out, but once the hood and lights are painted black you wont notice the small imperfections unless I pointed them out.
I'll have plenty of pics coming soon with the bodyshop progress this next week. Then hopefully a dyno video and charts soon thereafter. But I was saying this a year ago, so who knows.....lol

I had my other camera down at the shop today so I took some more pics. Also took a minute to polish up my Enthuza exhaust with 0 miles on it.
I wont bother updating this thread until the car is painted, and hopefully it'll be by the weekend. I'm actually worried now that everything is coming together. I'm not looking forward to the tuning/emissions passing part of it.....
Nick, I'll let you know when I'm going if you wanna come check it out.

Just ordered the 15x8 6UL's in black! (for anyone else thats been waiting, you might want to act soon, only a couple sets left!)
I'm talking with Brain from Goodwin about the tires. I'm guessing I'll be going with the Toyo T1R's in 215/45.
Next on the list is the front brakes. Seeing that my passenger side caliper is FUBAR....

Thanks guys, I cant wait to get the 6ULs on the car! I just need to wait for this Paypal transfer to go through to my bank account and I should be able to send the rest of the $$$ for the tires. This way I can get them mounted and balanced ready to go, no local BS tire shops.
I'm doing the research on the corrado brake swap now. Hopefully I can get the cash to buy everything soon enough to get this ******* car back on the road already.

6UL's just came, ******* awesome. I might put them on the car tmr when I go to the shop, but I really don't see the point until he's done painting it.
Looks like I should have some finished pictures next week and hopefully I'll be at the dyno next week as well to get this thing tuned.
I feel like this is taking forever......and then some.
