******* silicone blew out after 1 day! At first I was like **** yes its fixed, but then after taking another trip to NY I got on it a couple times and now its leaking again. The leak is worse now than it was to begin with!

I'm in the process of trying to have a new manifold and downpipe made for my setup. I will update once I have more info on how this is going to go. I'll also be listing the current manifold and downpipe in the for sale section once the new parts are in hand.

I'll admit I didn't expect it to last. Any ideas what you plan on running?

Yeah neither did I. I was actually surprised it was holding after awhile and started to think I was good to go....temporarily at least. Didn't make it too long lol.

I'm talking with ARTech that's on this forum about making something up for me. Essentially the same as what I have, only better. Who knows, maybe it'll turn into something more. I will keep this thread updated with the details. I'd like to have the new parts on the car within a week....hopefully.

I'm not pulling this **** again until I have new parts to bolt back on.

Abe did some work on my car and I'm very happy with the end result.

Cool, good to hear. He showed me some of the work he is currently doing and it looks sweet. I'm excited to have the parts specifically made for me, rather than buying an off the shelf kit that is poorly backed up by the producers.

I'm getting to that point where there's too much time and money into the car to have mediocre parts. Your lucky your local to him. I could use a sponsorship right about now. :(

He helped me out in a pinch, at a very reasonable price. I plan to use him on a couple things in the future if I can find the motivation to get my car to him.

I can't attest to his manifold build quality, but at the least he's looked through my car and knows what failed and what worked. Whatever you do, go with schedule-40 stock at the least.

Just sent the deposit for the new parts! Looks like I'll be switching to a 3" down pipe, and I'll be keeping the dump routed back into the exhaust. I'll keep this thread updated (you already know that) with the progress on the new parts. I hope to have them in within 2 weeks.

I just swapped in the CAT today and went to 3 ******* places to have emissions done. 1st shop (my normal emissions shop) had a broken egm or whatever the **** it is. And the other 2 had the lift type emissions machines and my car is too low for those. So I'm going to try again tomorrow and go back to my regular shop. Hopefully I pass.

And just to note, the car seems different with the CAT in place of the test pipe. Seems like a good different too. Smoother, idles lower, little quieter, etc.

The cat should give it a bit more oomph in the midrange, but up top I'm sure you lost a little power.

I ******* love this car! Its so great to finally have it back, even though it has a killer exhaust leak. I'm not sure if its from the leak, the cat, or both, but jesus this ****** burbles alot now.

Abe (ARTech) is working on the manifold at the moment. Here's a couple pictures he sent me of the work he's doing.

Next couple things on the list are the turboXS knocklite, egt gauge, oil temp gauge, water temp gauge, coolant reroute, rollbar camera mount, snow wheels and tires, and the list goes on and on......

You people and your money.

Use a conservative map to avoid knock, why do you need an EGT gauge, you shouldn't have to worry about oil temps in the winter/on the street, ok get a water temp gauge, and reroute, videos during snow!?!, drive something else during the winter, I just saved you $$$...

So change in plans. This is the manifold as of now, and the start of the dp.

Not on yet. He's finishing that soon, if he already didn't. I'll update this thread with the pictures as he sends them to me.

Oh ok cool! I was getting worried that you might be switching to an internal wastegate for some strange reason.
