Thanks guys! I'm really happy I decided to go with the black and blue scheme for the car. Originally I was going to paint everything blue, then I was going to leave the CF exposed, to finally deciding on this look. I cannot wait until we get the front bumper on today to take some actual "finished" pictures.

Cspence - That miataturbo sticker is the OG one from back in the day. I wonder how many guys are actually still rocking this sticker. I've been debating pulling this one off and putting on the newer decal, but I wont feel old school anymore.

The windshield should be going in today....I hope. I broke that one years ago when I got in a fight with my gf at the time. Finally getting around to fixing it now though.

I was thinking about smoking the rear lights. I have the spray, just haven't made the decision yet on doing it. I'll probably end up picking up a spare set of lights to **** with just in case I end up hating it.

How hard did you have to smash here face into the windshield to break it?

lol

We got in a fight and she wouldn't let me leave, she stood in front of the car so I couldn't pull out of the driveway. In a rage I ripped the rear view mirror off the windshield frame and hucked it at the window.

Stupid I know, but that kind of relashionship just makes me appreciate the one I'm in now.

I just got back from the shop and they are working on the front bumper now. Trunk spoiler is on and the interior is almost back together.

I also went over to the dyno shop to meet the guy and talk with him about the car. I gave him every piece of info I have on my setup, along with the MSPNP manual, LC1 manual, and my old dyno sheets. I told him I'm 99% positive the cars good to go, but I want him to look it over anyway.

He told me I should try and grab a laptop before I go see him, this way I can keep some different maps on it and datalog. So if anyone reads this and has a newer laptop they are looking to get rid of, let me know. I'm going to search on ebay now and see what I can find.

So, the car should be done by the weekend. But now I'll have to wait a week before I can take it to be tuned. He's busy this week and said I can give him a call weds and we'll go from there. I've waited this long....another week wont kill me.....I guess.

One thing I would say is make sure you put something on the mesh around your exhaust so it doesn't scrape it up. Unless your exhaust doesn't move at all. Mine does.

Congrats, Vash! I'm the guy that sold you the turbo a while back. I've been watching your build updates from time to time. It's coming along nicely. You're going to have a lot of fun with this car. Take care man...

My tail lights have been smoked for about 4 yrs now and I love them, you can swing by my house if you want and we can swap taillights just to see how they looked and decide from there.

When I had my white '90 with black hardtop and a-pillars the mirrors REALLY set the color off that much more, would def. consider this.

Here's the finished product! Let me know what you guys think of it! Note that the car is still covered with bodyshop dust and needs washed, but I plan on waiting until after the dyno day for that. Also little things, like leveling out the IC, cleaning up the engine bay, finishing putting back the interior (finding this god damn rattle I now have from the subs), etc.

All and all I am more than happy with the end result. I thanked the 2 guys and told them I really appreciated them going the extra mile for me.

I will consider doing the black mirrors, never came across my mind before but now that I think about it......

The next update from here should be dyno videos and some numbers. Then its on to getting it back on the road and enjoying it for a month before the ******* snow starts sticking.

Lookin' good. I like the idea of black mirrors.

Also...you need bigger brakes. Poor 1.6L rotors look lost behind the 6ULs.

Congrats, looks awesome, not to take anaything away from the car, but now that it's done...you def. need black mirrors (and a real hood prop )

Thanks guys! I was thinking about maybe doing the mirrors black, but for now I'm gonna leave it as is, until the spring at least.

This weeks plan is to order the laptop and get that ready for the dyno guy later this week, drain all the old gas out and put in some freshness, and start cleaning the bodyshop dust that settled its way to in every little crack and crevice inside and out.

I was debating spending more money on parts, but realistically I need to keep every extra dime I have aside for a winter beater. I am NOT going to let myself drive this car through another winter.

Awesome work. I'm totally digging pretty much everything about this car. The only thing (and this is seriously a minor thing) is that muffler/pipe stands out a bit to much. Maybe paint it a flat black?

Looks great man, I was debating going with a black hood and lids and now I think I will. I think you should definitely paint the mirror but do it like I did mine. It might be hard to tell from the pic but I left the base red and painted just the top of the mirror black.
