I apologize, I'm a little behind the times and have just found your thread, but this is quite lovely to watch. Looking forward to more updates. :-)

Been some time since my last post, but haven't had time for the miata in a while but back on track now.
Restored and buildt a 2003 aprilia 125rs two stroke for my step daugther for her sixteen't birtday, singel seat, all restrictions removed and murdered out.
Have finally started on the collector for the exhaust manifold, made a fixing tool for the mill in aluminium.
not sure if you guys are interested, but here are some pics of the bike, and of course pics of the milling tool.

Here are some teaser pics, rough cut done on the collector.
Still has some hours left in the mill before it's done.

And it's done.
Billet 304l collector for my gen2 gtx3576r turbo.
Really happy with the final product, and now i can finally start welding the exhaust manifold.
Here are some pictures of the collector i designed, and the one garret makes that i did not like.
The one garret makes is designed for 50mm OD piping, mine is designed for 44.5mm OD piping.

Two more M4 DCT gearboxes turned up at the shop yesterday, one 2017mod for my 20b rx7 and one 2014mod for inglars NB.
It's not every day you see three DCT gearboxes in the same workshop who will be retrofitted in to old mazdas.
the DCT gearbox on the motorcycle lift is for Hf-mx5t NA.

And a couple of pics of the collector on the turbo.

Got the Garage Star Pulley Kit Version 3 last week, the quality looks good except that they had sharp edges on the backside of the weight reduction holes.
So i took a (half moon) needle file and fixed that before i sent them of to get anodized.
The reason for me getting them anodized was to get a harder surface, getting them black and get some corrosion resistance.
Got them back today, a lot less bling, but i like the result.

Did they media blast them prior to anodizing? The surface texture looks totally different between the two (and I very much prefer the "after" picture)

I don't know what they did, but i asked for a satin matte/flat black finish.

Agreed that the after picture looks much better. I'm not a big fan of shiny pulleys personally

They get an etch. Think chemical scotch Brite. This preps the surface before the anodizing.

Next time ask / see how much more a type 3 (hardcoat) will cost. It's WAY more durable and corrosion resistant.

Also type 3 makes for cooler running and more efficient belts with better grip. One guy I used to race with picked up 2 psi on a roots blown busa motor by just hard anodizing the pulleys.

Beautiful work! Kudos.....What will be your choice for a harmonic damper?
ATI or Fluidampr, or...?

Thank you, I went with the ATI damper with a 36-2 trigger wheel.

So i did a thing.
Was not planning on using wiggins clamps on the miata build, but when a friend had some laying around i couldn't resist.

Yes they are pricey, but when you have started using them you never want to use silicone hoses and clamps ever again.
Used them on intercooler piping and engine water cooling piping when i built my 13b rx7 a long time ago.
Here are some bad pics of the old dirty 13b rx7 engine bay.
