Thanks everyone,
Don't have a very exiting update today, but got my new wastegates, two Tial mvs 38mm.
And picked up another Racingbeat front bumper, mine is in bad condition, and i need both to easier make the front bumper i want.

Have been busy helping hf-mx5t lately with some welding on his miata, but got a little bit more work done on my car.
Made a bracket on the (tower brace) for the AEM smart coils, got some spacers made and a support for the brake master.

So after a long summer holiday and some other builds, i finally have some time for the Miata again.
the differential is now back in the car with a Supermiata spec OS-giken lsd,
3.636 final drive, new bearings, new seals, new pinion damper, Weir performance solid pinion spacer,
Miataroadster lower differential mount brackets and a new breather, the new one from mazda had a plastic hood instead of metal like the old rusty one.
I Hope my new hollow Motorsport drive axels turn up next week so i can get them mounted as well.

You actually replaced the useless damper? I always removed them when the pinion comes out since they become detached from the shaft in no time once you make over double stock power.

I built up the differential with only new parts,
but if it comes loose after a while, i will of course take it off.
But we will see how long a new pinion flange damper holds up.

The new Motorsport axel shafts are finally done.
they are hollow (gun drilled) shafts that can twist up to 360 degrees and still turn back to true.
24mm outside dia with a 11mm hole.
And these axels are rated to 800 whp.
And the funny part is that they are 339 grams lighter than the stock axel.
So total weight saving comes in at 678 gram. almost 1.5 pounds.
The design was originally developed for rallycross back when the cars had up to 1000 whp and AWD.
The thing about these axels is that they twist like a torsion bar, so they take up the shocks the drivetrain gets from the wheels.

1800 dollar.
And the company that makes them is the Motorsport division at GKN driveline in norway.

Got the new axelshafts on the car today.
Also got GKN to take a few pics during assembly of the axelshafts, the high temp/high shock resistant motorsport axel grease has a funny blue/green colour.

1800 does not sound like a terribad price, either. Sounds like they could save tons of broken parts
