New ra1's and an alignment done, should get me more than enough grip for ADSI next weekend. We couldn't get toe to adjust more than .2" each side because of a broken weld on the subframe rear, and when I left I realized we toe'd the front's out rather than in, shouldn't be a big deal for the one autox event though. Other news the car will probably need valve stem seals like every other rebuilt motor on this forum, thing has been eating oil like crazy, smoking a lot on de-accel.
all washed up!

Alright so I'm at school now so car stuff is officially over, I traded an rx7 that I had for an f150 5 speed 4wd so now I have a tow vehicle, as far as next year goes I would like to get another miata, preferably a 1.6 (which will obviously be swapped). I just like the 1.6 shell better, the dash mainly. I would like to buy a clean shell and do a ground up restoration over the next few years and keep this one on a stock motor for a turbo track car.

mainly because of this video:

Anyway, I'd like to add ms3, get a protune, a kirkey and lots of track time next year, really disappointed I only made it to 2 auto-x events this year

Soooooooo..... 5 month thread revival!

I know the general consensus here is against drift cars so I'll try and keep the drifty bits out of the build thread. I've had this car for the last 3 years, it been turbocharged for the last 2. Most of the wiring was done when i was 16, so it wouldn't be worth the work to really upgrade the ms1. This car isn't my daily driver anymore, so I can go a little buck wild with it. The motor isn't the original motor, it was also rebuilt around 2 years ago as of now, it was an $80 rebuild kit off amazon on a motor with 180k. So it leaks, it smokes, but it has decently solid compression numbers. It was on a smaller t3 set up which made around 200 whp, but i wanted a BIG hit and hopefully lots of wheel spin. So I added a 50 trim? garrett-replica T04e from ebay, changed up my down pipe, and added an HKS style left hand exit muffler.

Most of the local turbo guys who drift Miata's usually end up crunching transmissions before motors, so I opted to upgrade to the 6 speed from an NB (Thanks RTC). I wired up cops to prevent blow out from the bigger turbo. I've actually seen people get some crazy number on this turbo on a stock motor, I plan to keep torque low and try to get around 260 whp out of this thing with some street tuning.

Hopefully this weekend I can finish prepping the rest of car and finish it up the following one. Then all i need to do is bleed brakes, tune, and hopefully enjoy the first event in mid-march.
