Aren't those the ones that have issues with the oil squirters? Something to do with hitting them or high oil consumption cause of the holes in the oil control ring area. Something like that...

Can lead to higher consumption. I am planning to delete the squirters.

Pistons will be ceramic coated on top by recommendation of @Savington, he says it helps with oil temps a ton.

Supertech doubles ordered. Found someone with a decent sale going on, picked em up pretty cheap.

Pretty much have everything ordered now. Need to strip a block and get it to the machine shop. and get the pistons back.

Did you ever decide if you wanted my superfluous 6D head?

I dont think i need a 3rd vvt head. I would take the valve cover and timing cover bits though.

If @afm still needs a core head, then the rest of the parts will have no home and I'd be happy to put them in your hands. I like where this is going.

I need a core to return, but I will need some VVT bits to put on the CNC head since it doesn't come with any. Kind of thinking it makes more sense to buy a complete head since I'm having a hard time finding the accessories.

I've got literally everything from the deck of the block to the oil cap, plus 2 or 3 sets of oil lines. This includes all the plastic covers for the timing belt and new o-rings and seals for all the VVT stuff. Stock coil packs and wiring pigtails too. I think the only thing I'm missing is the banjo bolt that goes into the side of the block.

I just want it all gone, it takes up too much space for something I'm never going to use.

I have coated wiseco's, oil temps are ~10*F over water temps on my setup. Water runs 180-187, oil 190-197*F.

Yeah FM's but they are ceramic coated, I'm sure once yours are they will functionally be the same for heat transfer. I only bought FM's because they are supposedly their own design/stronger but pretty sure nobody breaks off the shelf wiseco's anyway. In fact could you take some good pics of the inside of the piston so I could post pics of the FM ones to compare? Could see if there is any difference.

Anything more than the pictures above will take a bit. Pistons are on the way to coating. I didn't actually take the pics. The shop I ordered pistons through drop shipped to the coater.

MSM housings are the same, the axles seals are different.

s2k's lsd unit and ring/pinion are the same as ours. They just have the msm spline in the lsd. If someone were to ask MF nicely they will already have a splinted section for their metal plate diffs thats 27mm x 26 spline.

What is so good about these MF diffs? They have something over all the other diff offerings?

About equal to the OSG for half the price, and much more willing to help you setup the diff and/or sell you the parts to setup the diff.
