I'll flog it after my clutch setup arrives so I can actually get the power down to the ground!

And yep. I got the car up to 180 to 185 according to my gauge on Tuner Studio and then did the test after about 5 minutes of the car sitting

My Mazdaspeed flywheel came in last night. I chose this flywheel because it was $20 shipped and I wanted to upgrade to the 1.8 size flywheel/clutch kit. I have heard too many testimonials about guys installing lightweights, not being happy with them, and ultimately taking them out.

What are your experiences with lightweight flywheels and for what use?

I will be getting it resurfaced on Monday by a local machine shop.

Will post more pics after it's all shiny and new-looking again!

Hmm. Maybe I will try out a lightened one someday, then. We'll see. For clarification, I meant like daily, track, autox, whatever as far as use goes.

Might end up using it as an anchor. Maybe I'll just throw it off a bridge.

Yeah we knew, still doesn't stop us from making bad jokes.

The only reason I regret getting mine is that I'm having a hell of a time getting my GF to try auto-x and the lightweight flywheel makes it really hard for her to drive my car.

This is getting a bit erotic for my taste. You guys do you, though.

I have just heard it from my local Miata guys. I'll let you know how the MSM one feels after I get the clutch installed and broken in. Hopefully it doesn't tear too much....

Well it looks like I've got two more guys on team Pro-Flywheel now. I probably will try one out sometime when I can find a good deal on one.

Still haven't let my gf drive the car since it's been boosted... Haha maybe this weekend!
