The holes won't keep you from stopping. Something else is wrong.

Is everything clean? Did you bed in the pads?

180 t-stat hurts cooling BTW. Lowers the delta-T which lowers the heat transfer capability of the radiator. That's why a lot of OEM trailer-tow packages include hotter t-stats.

Ah, I was being facetious... Just poking fun. Haha my brakes work just fine. Stopping power has greatly increased!

I've heard reasoning for both hotter and colder tstats working better so I decided to just spend $9 and test it out for myself. I'll let you know how it affects my car's coolant temps.

Haha.

I just get skeered when I hear people say their brakes don't work.

I am getting my roll bar, harness bar, and door bars fabbed up early next week and I have been shopping around for a seat and harness setup. I am leaning towards the Bride Low Max with a Takata ASM drift harness.

Some quick updates! I have been wildly busy lately and have had little time to work on my car let alone post about it. But anyway, pictures!

My custom Hard Dog Double Diagonal- style roll bar with harness bar! I love how this turned out.

It clears both the soft top and hard top with ease, it's welded in at four places, it's SCCA- Certified, and I got a great deal on it! I will be painting it soon.

Picked up some OEM rear splash guards for $20 shipped. I really enjoy the look of 'em.

Also picked up an OEM R-Package trunk lid spoiler for $50 so I figured why not. I actually like the look of it! Not too obnoxious with a bit of flare.

And my 1990 is officially a historic vehicle! These year-of-manufacture plates are dope and s/o to never having to pass safety or emissions tests again. Also never have to pay for registration renewal!

Stickers. Stickers = More HP so, stickers.

More to come!

Mine too! I bought 2 year plates last time around so it would take me right to 2015 when I could register it as historical. I dont plan to ever run emissions again.

Sweet! We are probably some of the first ones I'd imagine. I would have had these on a while ago if it didn't take them two months to go through the paperwork

Just got back from BEGI! It's been a busy busy last couple of weeks. But now my stock (internals wise) 1.6 makes 240 whp dyno'd in 107 degree Texas heat! It also drove all the way back to Missouri in two days with no issues at all. Pretty happy with it. Will post pictures of everything soon!

To clarify, depending on who you ask, you are right on or right above the "im going to vent my block with rods" threshold.

At what rpm are you making 240hp. Whats max tq? Or maybe you could be a cool guy and post a plot.
