No . I had my thumb up my *** for a while, now I don't feel like fixing it till later in the winter, closer to the spring time. There's other things I wanna buy (Camera gear ) that I can use now for some instant gratification rather than fix it and have it sit. I did however put it back together so I can start it up every week instead of just letting it sit...lifeless. I'm still up in the air about which turbo I want. The GT2871 in miataspeed2005's car is nice and all, but I sure did like the quick spool of his old setup, so I am still trying to decide on which turbo I want to go with. And on top of all this, I am still confused as to whether or not I really want to sell it, I don't know what is going on lol

lol yea it does but I'm not nearly as attached as you probably were since I didn't really build it. I'm not sure when you were planning to jump back into the miata game, but if you were interested we could probably strike a deal +or- certain parts if you were'nt looking to buy the car back as is...

Whats up Cspence I was lurking around looking at who is local and came across this thread. All I gotta say is wow, you have very nice skills and I respect you very much for the attention to detail.

I am not too far away and If I can be of help getting her back on the road and spooling again lmk. I have a shop In newton M.A and I am no stranger to building some radical rides.

So just tipping my hat off to you, I spent over an hour looking at everything and you should be very proud of your car and mostly of yourself.

Thanks for the props! I may take you up on you up on that....

FINALLY got my **** together and this is on the way! I decided to go with a smaller turbo since I am more concerned with throttle response at the cost of a few ponies moreso than squeezing out every last pony at the cost of throttle response....if that makes sense lol. We'll see what it does. If I'm happy with it great, if not I can always sell it and swap it out.

The turbo came in quicker than I expected and I got some **** done.... Turbo clocked (Need to adjust a little bit more), new dp flange put on, and everything mocked up. Just waiting on the turbo inlet and dp gaskets then I have to figure out what I am going to do for the intake piping and water lines. One stupid question to any of you who may be reading this, I noticed the manifold gasket is embossed on one side, which way does the embossed side of the gasket face....the head or the manifold? (Last two pictures show what I am talking about)

I would guess the flat side belongs on the head.

I second that and the setup is looking good. Are you going to keep the turbo as your location for pressure control?

As of now I am planning to still run the ewg, but I didn't want to weld the iwg shut and limit who I could resell it to incase I want to swap turbos. I plan to just throw a plug in the port on the compressor and a vaccum cap on the diaphram.....

Was that a big puddle of coolant under the front drivers side tire? Sounds good, too bad we're going to get sub-zero temps now.
