Well hopefully you did not mess up anything with the water temps getting that hot. Basically since you had no alternator belt, the water pump was not spinning and flowing water. So the water in the block heated up. If the needle in the cluster did not get above 12 I think you should be good. I would figure out why the alternator belt broke though. Probably because it was on to tight or old.
