Or, will increased exhaust pressure lower cranks breathing efficiency, since the systems are connected?

The exhaust airflow should draw vacuum. I learned about it from this thread and also hondatech and talking to some people: https://www.miataturbo.net/showthrea...light=slashcut

Pulled my turbo today to do a few things including shortening the oil drain line.

Motherfucking shitcock this explains why my turbo has been whining a bit lately. Might also explain the slower spool. It started to whine after I went to 22psi earlier this week.

Oh snap. Just wait til the anti-chinacharger folks see this. They will crucify you

If I were you though, I'd get a nice tubular equal length made by tim or abe, and throw a twin scroll BW on there.

Dude a rebuild shouldnt cost more then a china charger would. Just rebuild that ****. If not, then put it on the car, start the car and while someones hitting the gas, stick a carrot in compressor blade. Ive always wanted to see that. Itll be like the first time i saw penetration in a porno.

Holsets are actually very popular turbos. Built to last way over 100k miles and spool faster than Garrett and Mitsubishi turbos due to their unique turbine wheels. They are designed to spool fast with the slow moving diesel exhaust gasses, so when used on a gasoline motor they spool very fast and make a **** ton of power.

Actually if my plan stays the same I will be running a HY this summer when I install my H-Beams.

Look it up. They're not expensive (compared to bw and garrett and others).
I think you're looking for an hx35 or hy35 or something like that.

There's a whole thread about them here.
