yeah, I've never seen BRG with nickel...but don't forget that I added pearl to mine. Its crazy under the sun with these wheels.

Who cares about the calipers? Any paint or whatever will burn off after the first track session.

oh, and FYI...it still rolls the tires a bit in 3rd on concrete going straight with the rs-2s, lol.

True dat. First time Ive seen nickel on BRG. Why did you reroute the oil pressure sender? Did I miss something a page or two back?

Carbotech?

those senders break at the fitting on occasion. This car is about doing it right the first time, and never working on it again...so I went ahead and did it since it was cheap.

I'm trying xp12/10 on emilio's and savington's recommendation. If that doesn't work, then I'll have to find something else. Hawk DTC-30's look promising, but we'll see if they eat wheels.

You need to put something over the braided stainless lines so they don't rub and cut into things. Or mount them solid so they can't move around and come in contact with other things. I did both.

They're wrapped in hose and zip tied. Thanks for the heads-up, I probably need to 2x check my **** anyway.

I'd redo that PCV stuff too. For one, I hope that's not the stock PCV valve. Second, just dump that **** to atmosphere or to a catch can with a breather. Either is better than what you have. Oil injection is for 2 strokes and rotaries.

Zip tie every vacuum hose on the engine where it connects. And order some silicone line to replace the rubber vacuum hoses anyway as they don't hold up well to heat, especially during 30 minute sessions.

i bought a few "turbo" PCV valves from Rosenthal, I'm looking at my catch can on the table right now...just need a garage.

I already exploded one vac hose, I didn't know silicone vac hose was an option. Thanks again.

Not a problem. Silicone vacuum hose can be ordered online. It's not that cheap, but it's worth it. Just another drop in the bucket though, right? If you do add a catch can I would advise using a big one that is WELL ventilated. Not just a cute little filter. Maybe put two filters. I used to run a catchcan and ran the PCV and breather both to it. It still collected a decent amount of oil. Now I run the breather open to a filter like yours and the PCV is hooked to a length of hose that travels up and over relative to the PCV valve such that it can vent, but any oil that goes out as a vapor will fall from suspension and drain back to the valve. Works perfect. But I guess a good catchcan setup would be the right way to do it.

For sure use the right tool for the job. I half assed a fix on one of my old daily drivers (Accord) and stuck a random length of thin clear hose between the PCV and manifold and drive it around for months with the hose collapsed because it was too weak to hold up to vacuum. It cracked me up every time I saw it because it was completely flat.

Where are you going to put the catch can? Could you somehow use the charcoal canister bracket/location for mounting it? I think that would be nifty.

Also just noticed you have the oil stained black wrinkle finish around the oil filler. I got so pissed today because the filler cap is letting oil seap all over the freshly painted cover.

you have to see it in person to see the pearl I added, and the wheels were dirty in that shot. I still need to put the FM hood in, then get the hood and bumper resprayed, "clear bra," and I'm done.

I really like your car. I mean like if I were a chick, I'd definitely go out with you, just for your car. I would even do naughty shifter poses, and a carwash **** shoot.

Srsly, I'm going hustler with my next Miata, no doubt. Wicked nice build the whole way, and the final product looks like more than the sum of it's parts.

If you were a chick I would show you how much of a filthy ***** you've always wanted to be. But I could never love you, just like Daddy.

I never thought I'd be able to build a car like this, but things worked out professionally that I could. It was either this and a daily driver, or an STI and I think I've chosen the better option.

Nickel 15x8 for the street, bronze 15x9 for the track, lol.

I still have one urgent decision to make...begi intake plenum or cut my FM hood. One of those is free.
