You just paid for it so no way back, next time you need to fabricate something simple, you can search for scraps and cut/bend with basic tools, then take the pieces to a friend with tig or a shop to weld them.
Easier if it's not aluminium but also doable. Just my thoughts.

$100 seems good considering the time it would take for someone to make them. The average welder here makes $30-40+ an hour and I'm sure those took at least a couple of hours to make.
Mazda Comp sells or sold really nice ducted shields for sport brakes. Doppleganger has a pair.

Boundary engineering was talking about making these, but I've run out of time.
I think that's nice, functional, and not a killer price. Really, who the **** cares about $20-40 cheaper when it's something you needed...and now have in hand.
I've paid more for *****.
I still wonder what you're doing about ducting though. You seriously don't drive it in the rain?

I did roughly 4 layers to its probably stronger than the hood. Now I just have to smooth them out, paint them black on both sides, then put the hose on and rape.

That pic also has vertigo. It is a straight pipe you're looking down into that bend. Looks like a swage up but it's not. At least not at this point. Double slips are going here.

oil cooler ducting. Its wrapped in foil so the wet fiberglass doesn't get anywhere. I'm going to cut a pretty hole in the bumper...hopefully this works.
I can't wait to get this **** finished so I can get the car repainted.

negative...that's the absolute worst thing you can do for airflow. Do I need to? I have little 2" hose because I thought it was appropriately sized...maybe I screwed up.
After working on Matt's car again tonight, I really want to copy his heat-exchanger set-up. I just need a fabricator and a check book.
Does anyone have tips on how I can make the hold stylish and attractive? I don't really want to cut the bumper, but necessity is the mother of invention. I still have not ruled out the possibility of cutting a scoop under the car and mounting the oil cooler parallel to the ground, behind the sway bar.
