The flares are not cheap, and scream "steal me!"

I think with the FM hood you recently got, a nice slpitter/lip combo and a duct or two in the bumper that will be bad ***! Any plans for TSI's or just going to remove them?

no tsi, I'm trying to keep the fresh air through the heat exchangers so the stock lights will stay. I have the begi scooper, and no splitter. I want to do 1 carbontrix vent in the side of the bumper (cut open a bit more with a dremel) for the oil cooler. I'm thinking about painting the intercooler black too. Its not centered, and there is no sense in drawing attention to it. I had the BOV routed to the intake so its queit, so when I'm at the track people will hopefully not realize its a turbo car...especially on the street because I want to avoid theft.

I think that will still keep the sleeper look.

If you are worried about somebody unscrewing them, why not use aluminum pop rivets to hold them on. Personally, I like them better than sheet metal screws. And they don't ever loosen up.

It's a track car! It's THE Filthy Track *****!
What makes you think that adding flares makes your car more valuable? Your car doesn't have a lot of fiberglass bullshit or 0 offset sportmax on it, so who would want it?

He's talking about the car, not the flares.

I'm not talking about value, I'm talking about ricers seeing the flares, then stealing it because it no longer looks like every other car o the road.

I used to pull the hot wire to the distributor off on the GTO for that reason. It only takes one decent sized screwdriver to crank any of those old cars.

If you are worried about somebody busting the ignition and driving off, you could pull a fuse or the MS harness or some harness plug that is important, yet easy to get to.

If you are concerned about somebody putting it on a trailer or tow truck, then you might have to put it in the garage. Or the back yard (ghetto but effective).

The car looks really aggressive. I'd like to see it from more angles.

that last pic is not my car. Mine looks stock aside from the 99 wheels, roll bar, and intercooler.

Unfortunately, I like to take the car with me when I travel for work, so it sits outside a hotel all day, or I put it in a storage unit. Right now I'm just pulling an electrical plug. I lost a vw once without a trace, I don't want it to happen again.

Also, its really cool to see the surprised look on 335 owners when some punk in a stock looking miata is jacking with them. My favorite is to just barely pull on them...then eventually put it to the mat. I can't wait to get it back this week.

so, my car ran out of fuel on the dyno at 200whp, with 550cc injectors. I went ahead and bought a 255lph fuel pump considering mine is 155k miles old and a new filter, how do I know its the regulator without a fuel pressure gauge?

edit:

this **** makes me sad. Every time I turn a corner there is something fucked up. At least I can drive it now without worrying about blowing it up.

still overboosting from 10-psi to 12 or so. However, its much faster and only hitting 68% duty on the stock regulator. 2nd and 3rd feel violent now...which is cool. I hope my gauge isn't wrong, but AFR's are leaner than before according to megatune. Now I just need my cops and I'm going back to the dyno. I did a few 4th and 5th gear pulls next to the concrete barricade on the highway and there is no detonation and I didn't change the spark values, so hopefully I'm not melting down anything. I don't know if its the 1600 miles I've put on the motor for break in, but today it really wants to spin the tires in 3rd.

FYI: the walbro 255 is 1/2" longer than the stock pump.

Can you please stop being a ******* homo (your avatar makes me wonder if that's possible...) and turn the damn boost up!! Why the hell did you build the motor??? You even have a six speed now right? If I had that setup I'd be at 18psi today.
