I honestly can't remember what kind of clearance I had with the stock diff. Ill have to look at sixshooters for comparison. This is a 95% track car so I don't really care. Thing is a beast to look at.

Just a little progress today. Was tired from yesterday. Got the rear brakes mounted. Look nice. Got some brackets I think for the calipers to mount the Emerg Brake cable to the calipers although I don't think they really do anything. Just for show. I need to figure that part out. Made my spark plug wires. Watched Greg on youtube for this one. I think they came out good. Also started putting in the new hoses. Shiny silicone for the win. Im up in the air about the vacuum lines. I have new ones but they are definitely not as stiff as the original ones. Now what I can't decide is if the originals were always that stiff or if this is just a product of being 23 years old. I just don't want to have limp dick vacuum tubing causing issues. Any ideas on this? My questions are likely to go up too lol. I didn't know what I was doing before but with the wiring and **** that Im about to get into I seriously don't have a clue on what Im doing so should be interesting and painful.

This is the LS harness ill be using. If I cut off the GM plug is there a miata specific plug I can use or do I just have to wire it directly into the harness? Id like to keep it clean so I can still remove it as a unit.

Man that is looking good! Did V8R do the rear subframe welding and powder coating for you?

Yeah I just brought it to him and he was kind enough to weld it and send it to the people that powder coated all the other bits. I wasn't going to but he said I should and now seeing it Im really glad I did. Nothing better than having the guy that designed the kit weld on the bracket. He literally is a 15 minute drive from me and is super helpful. He tolerates my retardation which is appreciated. Ill gladly give him my money whenever possible.

The driveshaft is clear coated

I don't think the Getrag really hurts ground clearance, I think it just might be the angle of the pics. We have them in two of our cars and it doesn't looks like it sits low once it's all buttoned up. However I didn't measure before and after.

Finished buttoning up the rear end of the car. Took a few more pictures of the diff with the rear brace on...its hard to tell but the diff is like 1-2cm below the brace. Not too bad really. Got the rear sway bar mounted as well.

Snapped a quick shot of the V8 roadsters brake bracket just to give people an idea of the quality. Both front and rear brackets are extremely robust.

This baby also showed up.

Stayed up way too late doing this

Gonna have to figure out the heat shielding. Turbo damn near sits in the brake master cylinder.

Heres with the EBC solenoid on the turbo. I know there was some reservations about this from someone earlier but I actually think it looks good. Guess only time will tell if it works.

Also just to answer some curiosity of a few from earlier I through a light underneath the car so you could get an idea of the room and exposure with the new subframe. Basically its a giant hole and you have a lot of room to access things from below.

Anywho thats the progress from today. Now I have the long awaited manifold which does look nice. Funny story though--I don't have a downpipe yet...

While I wait Ill continue with other projects and start working on the heat protection. I work on the lines and such tomorrow.

Everything thing looks nice, real nice.

This is just assembly- right? You're going to pull everything and paint, then reassemble? (Jeffbucc needs to know)

Paint doesn't make it faster or more reliable.
