I've told myself I'm committed for at least the 500mi break-in. Maybe they really will get better or I'll man up.
I appreciate the offer, but there is literally nothing wrong with these things, its just personal preference. Softer bushings might help a little but I'd be worried as to if they would hold up. I'm no engineer but it does not seem as though there is much surface area to distribute the load.
I'm pretty sure NVH is not a concern with Gesso's project so we may see how they fair in that application before I even dream of returning them.

Heh, I should put the passenger seat back in the car. She's not 100% comfortable with a stick at this point, I think the Subaru screwed up her confidence
I'll stick the gopro to the Miata today and take a drive after work. I have a video from the same stretch of road from a couple weeks ago so it'll make a good comparison.

As far as I'm concerned gear oil is literally one of the worst smelling automotive fluids on the planet, but I couldn't not share these:
Delicious torseny 3.63 goodness. Hustler's diff packed and shipped by Johnwag. Stellar packing job for something so heavy and potentially fragile. I can't wait to get this thing installed rather than having it stink up my garage.
I suspect Hustler will be posting pics of new bike stuff soon

You are going to LOVE the 3.63. It is most choice. 85 on the highway(Utah **** yeah) and the rpms are not crazy high. 1st is still useless but 2nd has a lot of fun in it.

Gear oil is pretty bad, but the worst thing ever is 8+ year old gas. I got some really old gas on my skin once, it was dark orange, gummy, and was so nasty, I would have washed it off with gear oil if thats all I had.
G, how is the break-in going for those motor mounts? Is it mellowing out any more since the last time you mentioned them?
Loving the build, every time I think "Now thats a used part worth buying", I see you have already bought it. Jelly because 3.63.

I sense a lot of jelly up in herr
I'm thinking I might just buy a new gas tank for it when the time comes.
I have problems. Not like Jeffbucc problems, but problems none the less. I'm broke at the moment so you are all pretty safe for a while. At least until I sell off my FM2 stuff and restock my Paypal account.

Ok, now I'm broke Just closed a deal for more intercooler than I should ever actually need. More bigger is more gooder, right? (Yes, I realize there is a point of diminishing returns.)
Thank god I removed my AC. Time to see how badly I can compromise airflow through my radiator

I haven't paid for or really watched much TV since 2002 or 2003. I stream movies or shows via Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Prime when the mood strikes. I'd rather do other things with my money (like buy crazy miata ****) than pay some horrible cable bill. On principal I also refuse to have things like MSNBC and Fox News piped into my home.
My current act of rebellion is refusing to watch the new "Dr Who" or "Game of Thrones" series' as I'm tired of hearing about it from my co-workers. After all the hype died from a few years back I tried watching "Lost" and its complete and utter garbage. That's hours of my life I'll never get back. Not everything is junk though, I will say that I've recently discovered the new BBC "Sherlock" series and its ******* magical. Name anything from the last 10 years and I've probably not seen it. As I'm sure you can tell, I'm super fun at parties.

I guess thats why I was clueless as well.
I haven't watched TV since I started engineering school, but I don't miss it. Since my wife and I have been married, we haven't even owned a TV. Watching news is retarded, and a great way to have a 3rd party influence your opinions. Pretty much every series that people rave about turns out to be garbage. After you don't watch TV for so long, I don't see how people have the time. Doesn't the average american watch like 3 hours of TV a day?
Now the exception: My wife and I recently started (secretly) watching Game of Thrones on Amazon Prime. After the second episode, we were hooked. IMO they did a fantastic job on this series, even though at times a scene is just a meaningless titty extravaganza. Even still, I don't feel the obligation to talk about the show all day to coworkers...never quite understood that.

I just did some looking around trying to get mounting ideas for the Precision 600 in an NB and I rediscovered 99mx5/Ari's thread. Turns out I've copied his build almost exactly without realizing or intending to do so. Good to know I'm not a special and unique flower
