Too many posts with too many walls of text and I'm too lazy to read it all, but LMK if you need anything G, but just want to point out that in my experience, other people's startup settings didn't help at all. Startup is configured to each car specifically, and requires real time tuning.

Example: coolant based crank duty will depend on your car's idle valve values. priming and cranking will depend on how fast and how much pressure it builds. all this crap varies greatly from car to car so any time I copied someone elses settings I wasted a TON of time trying to figure out why they didn't work or what else caused the car to rough start.

What were you ordering? I have never had Rosenthal to take more then a day for anything if they had it all in stock. If I am ordering something random that they don't stock then I have seen a few days delay.

The shipping cost and time does not surprise me. Going from the east coast to west coast will take about 5 business days with USPS, UPS, Fedex unless you pay for faster shipping. Cost of shipping is irrelevant to how much you spend, it all comes down to size and weight of the box.

Nice, its good to have a tuner who knows what's up. I know we have the same injectors but what is your base pressure? Need to be careful using other peoples settings and all that.
I'm spoiled by 949 and Trackspeed being in the same state. If I order in the AM I usually get the parts in under 48 hours. Rosenthal used to offer USPS flatrate so cheap and fast, but then they stopped and UPS Ground hurts.

There used to be a guy named Frankie who worked at the parts counter at a place called Oak Tree Mazda in San Jose, but you had to call him on the phone to order anything. I never asked about shipping but you could give him a dozen part numbers and he would hunt stuff down and you could pick it up later. The prices were WAY better than the local dealerships for the same parts, so it was worth the trip to San Jose to pick stuff up. I had no idea if he still works there, its been years since I tried calling them.

Oh yeah, I know this. I'm not blindly using other peoples settings, but it is good to see what other people are doing, as a reference. Don't worry, I'll send you more PMs. I'll drive up to Sac one of these days and you can shake your head at my efforts in person ;)

Rosenthal annoys me because they take forever to process regardless of what you order. The physically largest thing I ordered was a water pump pulley, the rest is all replacement seals, bolts, o-rings and the like. I make a point to order things early in the week so it get get shipped before the weekend, but it never goes out until the next week and then it always hits a weekend anyway. Also, UPS Ground is retarded, its like their entire shipping network shuts down on Saturdays and Sundays.

I seem to recall someone saying Frankie was at Capitol Mazda now, but I don't know for certain.

The reason there's no west coast equivalent is because all the racers joined Mazdacomp. It's awesome. You log into the web site, pick the part # from the diagrams, put it in your cart and check out. Shipping usually winds up being $7, UPS ground from LA so it gets here in 2 days, and you pay right around dealer cost for everything. All you gotta do is go to two autoxes.

Goddamn MazdaComp. :facepalm: I sent them my info 3 times and they just ignored me. That was the only reason I kept my SCCA membership up to date. I got tired of trying after SCCA SFR blasted their entire membership email contact list to every member in the region, thus ruining my personal email account by plunging it into spam hell. (L2BCCWTF) Incidentally, this is what caused me to make the move to gmail.

I don't technically qualify for MazdaComp anymore now that UFO is gone and my SCCA membership has lapsed, and I don't order frequently enough to justify joining another club and paying more membership fees. Maybe once I get the car under boost again my priorities will change, but for now I'm just going to complain about it :D

Yeah, I'm really liking Mazdaspeed. But they're pretty strict now. At least 2 published race results per year. With the discounts they give, I can understand that though. They have a warehouse in DFW, so I typically see stuff the day after I order.

Wait a day, maybe two, and call them on the phone so they'll finalize your application.
You may need to call and voice verify your web orders until the car has seen a track day or two, but I'm not sure what they're doing now that they consider HPDE events "racing".

Also, I'm once again having problems with my VEI wideband display. Fucker keeps going back to volts and its making me insane. On the plus side I can mentally associate voltage with AFR now, on the minus side I'm going to get myself killed looking at the AFR gauge in TS on my passenger seat.

I emailed Reverant to find out if I can swap my LC-2 for the MTX-L on the CAN Module without any other changes. While they are both Innovate widebands, I know he had to set something up in the module so I'm not taking any chances with just swapping it without asking.

I'd read about the HPDE qualifying for Mazdacomp, but I haven't actually tried it yet. I should, because my membership is currently on hold because I haven't submitted results since UFO died. I just haven't needed any OEM parts since getting the motor in the car, and so I haven't bothered.

The web site doesn't seem to include the HPDE requirements -- they don't update stuff online for Mazdacomp very frequently.

As for why they'd do HPDE as well as racing, well, it's a marketing tool. They want people to go do cool stuff in Mazdas that will help convince other people to buy 'em. This is a cheap way to do that, so why not?

G my base pressure is 60 psi so my fuel injector calculation goes up to 1200cc injectors, here is some more data to give you a rough idea.

If nothing else it helps me with a better idea of what "ballpark" should look like. I don't do these things for a living so sometimes its hard to spot errors or things that are completely out of whack.

Jeff, you know you have sequential turned off, right?

Ignition or injection? I'm on my phone trying to look at a 1440x900 image so I may not be seeing it. Not all of us are running sequential ignition but we should all be using sequential injection at this point.

Fuel injection. He has it set for 2 squirts/cycle, alternating. My understanding is it has to be on Simultaneous/1 squirt/cycle for sequential fuel to activate. At least with MS3 PRO.
