That location is superior to sticking it behind the (hot exchangers) radiator (with a smaller filter). You've got a factory outside air feed under the driver side headlight that's "feeding" your filter now. Move your wall of relays, flip the filter/intake and build a cold air box around it.
that means your BOV wasn't setup properly and should still be concerning.

The line fell off... Just put it back on and zip tied it. Hopefully all is well. I guess it's a good thing I was running really low boost and the setup has only seen a few miles. That would have sucked and would have made my thread title even more ironic. Gahdangit.

I'm pretty sure it's just the clamp. I'll definitely double check the drain clamp tomorrow too. Possibly the feed line at the block as well, but I'm pretty sure that's not going anywhere.

Coming close though apparently... I took off the intake piping to get at the clamp and saw scratches on the inside of the turbo where the intake goes in.
Turns out it had gone in and was rubbing there. Needless to say I fixed that...
I think I have a coolant leak though. I keep filling up the reservoir only to find it empty. I'm going to get some of the UV dye ish so I can figure out what's going on. I have a spare stock radiator thanks to bytevenom so I can swap that over if that's what it turns out to be.
A coolant leak would usually be fairly evident by coolant on the street/ parking area. More likely you haven't properly bled your system and it's sucking in coolant when it cools down.
Do a proper bleed with the front raised as high as you can manage. I usually put jackstands fully extended under the A-arm supports. Run it for at least three fan cycles (I usually go about 15 minutes after engine is warmed up). Try again.
The other option is that your evaporating the coolant and it ends up as steam somewhere. If it's steam in your exhaust, that's bad.

I wasn't having any such issue a week ago and haven't had overheating issues other than one time when my CAS gave up the ghost but that was last summer, so I don't think that's the case since I've never had that issue since. Atleast I hope not...
Luckily this didn't cause damage, but when I put it back in I made damn sure that there wasn't any contact there. Stupid intercooler piping :/
I think I have a piece of delrin I can fit there to avoid this, but I'm not sure it has the clearance to fit. I wonder if I can reclock the turbo to have the outlet facing 10-12 o clock. Should give me way more room.
