For a small fee I can drive to his house and beat him with a MS till he finishes it.

Does anyone have recs for color matching paint? Unfortunately my car's color didn't exist for the nb2s. I bought a bumper I wanted to prep, prime, and paint. I wanted to see what it would cost done at home vs taking it somewhere. Not looking for perfection.

Also kinda wanted to paint hood vents in the stock color...Not like they'd ever be stealth but.

In any event, any rec for color matched rattle cans? Is colorite the go to?

I had good luck with color match with cans from Project-G on my NA.

Premixed Color Matched Single Stage Touchup Spray Paint (PPG Paint)

automotivetouchup.com

I had Rover resprayed in a 2-stage Classic Red a few years ago, and their 2-stage Classic Red matched as perfectly as one can expect it to when shooting from a can. Check Rover's build thread for pics of the match.

Thoughts on FM2 vs 949 4 puck sprung?

ryansmoneypit 02-07-2018 05:44 PM

dont get a 4 puck?

every "puck" clutch I get, lasts about 1/10th of what I expected it to. but that's just me.

This time I just got a full face

Lexzar 02-07-2018 05:50 PM

Full face or twin disk, there is no in-between

<400wtq, fm2

Stage 4, 6puck Competition Clutch was garbage and burned up quick.

FM2 was comfortable

Twin disk is manageable but I don't like that dead space since it disengages at 1/3 depression. Aidan recommended a pedal stop

Sooooo. FM2 it is. I've just heard mixed things about them relative to the goodness that is the FM1 clutch.

Thank you!

I think you have that backwards. I've never heard of a problem with an FM2 clutch. Only FM1. And i had problems with both of mine.

Yes, but are you surprised?

You ninja'ed your post! And yeah, I've seen that in your thread. I read through a few pages of it to see what you'd swapped to. I didn't want to bother you on facebook again haha.

(Also, my block is at the machine shop... I really want to assemble it myself, but I'm terrified. Sean thinks I'm a wuss, but it seems like an expensive prospect to learn on this motor haha.)

Looks like a well thought out car. I'm sure the next owner, whoever it is, will be quite happy with it.
