There was a scheme to change the banner behind Ed's back last week after the car arrived, and before Ed started, but it fizzled. We weren't sure how he'd receive that type of hazing. I am very much a 'dont touch my car' kind of person.
I know a guy that has some extra wheels and tires..
I can see where this is going. So you worked all month, after the wheels, then the tires, then there's the lift rental, plus the lunch we feed you. So this month you owe us $14.95
Yerp, parked in a bad place and locked my keys in my car
Wait, how did you lock your keys in the car? Do you actually use your door locks? I don't think I have ever locked the doors on any of the miata's I have owned. I just always disabled the trunk release switch and left nothing in the cabin.

Disabling the trunk release switch and leaving nothing in the cabin is neat, but it was packed for a track day, so the cabin had plenty of stuff in it.
Did a bit of testing I've been meaning to do. Compression tested at 150 psi +- 2 on all 4 cylinders. For an 8.6:1 VVT engine, right where it should be. For a 9:1 VVT engine, a bit low. not sure which pistons are in my car.
Leakdown is less peachy. Cyl 1 & 4 were about 5% leakdown. 2 and 3 were about 8%. Crankcase. Rings.
So, not super shocking - this bottom end has like 25-30k miles on it and hasn't lead the easiest life.
