Yeah VE plummets after 6500 partially due to the head/cams, but mostly due to the terribad vtcs intake mani.

I will look in to implementing this EBC setup.

are you on the oe efr bcs or using a mac valve like the diagram?

Though I'm sure it won't hurt, the only times I've deemed the above as "needed" was on IWG setups with tons of backpressure (which is what that diagram even says). on free flowing ewg setups I've yet to see any difference.

And tbh, since you're on an MS2 and won't have proper closed loop boost control, I'd probably recommend mbc anyways.

To 18psi's point- the WG ports are the opposite on an internal vs. external gate. I'm using it for 15psi on a 10psi spring- but this was the setup recommended by Innovate.

With a lot of help from Sixshooter, we managed to bleed my clutch fluid (which was ******* disgusting and brought back all the pedal feel) and swap in a flattop manifold and knockoff skunk2 throttle body into the car last Saturday. This had the benefit of also fixing the vacuum leaks I couldn't find. It turns out all of the nuts on the intake manifold studs were hand tight from all of the vibrating. We made sure to use locktite this time. These studs are such a ******* pain in the *** to get to with the engine in the car.

Also, for anyone else who has purchased the ebay knockoff skunk2 throttle body, we discovered an issue. On my unit, the bleeder screw passage was machined too close to the edge of the gasket and resulted in a massive vacuum leak. We had to use jb weld to close up the passage to prevent this from happening. I didn't have time to really tune the car or do more pulls yet but I hope to get to that some this weekend.

I also did a thing yesterday that will definitely be interesting. I purchased this Evora 400 on BAT.

**** is about to get real. Stay tuned.

Fun times! I was just glad your car ran when we got done so you didn't have to borrow my daughter's car to get home.

Groceries are delivered by a service, you troglodyte.

One set of golf clubs purportedly fits in the rear trunk. He has monogrammed luggage custom fit to the Evora on order. He just needs to wait for a few more alcantarrrra to be skinned.

I had him pegged as a food snob- you know, likes to squeeze his own fruit before buying.
Fortunately is has a cupholder:

I try to shop at local farmer's markets and only along the perimeter of the grocery store when I have to mingle with the plebs.

If the car can't hold kombucha tea in a biodegradable cup for both myself and my passenger then it's not even worth considering.

Then it arrived in Tampa last night.

First impressions:

1. Pictures don't do it justice. The car is beautiful inside and out.

2. The shifter is amazing. The bolt action rifle tripe really fits. It's so precise and satisfying to shift gears.

3. It's incredibly stable at speed. This actually makes it feel slower than it is in reality. I did a pull with my fiance and I hit 100 but it felt like I was going 70. When I'm crossing at 70 it feels like I'm going 40. I'm probably going to end up with tickets.

4. The ride is exceptionally comfortable for a sports car.

5. The sound it makes is so so good.

6. The trunk is surprisingly large. Definitely more space than the Miata. Plus it has the back seats/parcel shelf.

7. The radio is way better than expected given how much people complain about it. As a non-audiophile it's exactly what I need and very simple to operate and replace if needed.

8. Rear visibility through the back window is terrible. You think you know but you don't.

9. All of the vinyl on the exterior except for the rear panel looks cheap in person and I'm definitely removing it. I already hated it but you can see where it's peeled up on a few edges and the orange paint is visible between panels on the cowl.

I haven't had a chance to take it on a country road to see how she handles it judge the steering feel yet so I'll update again later. Miata should get some more love this weekend as well.

Good luck, just got finished telling a customer to avoid Lotus, especially Evoras, at all costs. Enjoy!

I'd love to know more specifics. I'm on the forum a lot and the issues on the 400's are minor. The S1 had a lot more problems then the new ones.
