Ryan's turbo build

I think its the tires making you think you need to soften the suspension. Once you get tires that actually grip good, you'll probably go back to the stiffer springs.
Also once you get good tires your brakes are going to die even faster. At 350whp, I'd start saving up for a bbk. Anything less and you'll be melting/boiling stuff regularly

So this is me racing a Viper from Friday night, nothing too crazy done to it. He said headers, cold air intake, and a tune. He was quite shocked with my car, then I started talking to a guy with a ZL1. I am glad I didn't race that guy, the car appeared bone stock on the outside other than some slicks, but it is the first twin turbo Lingenfelter ZL1, says it makes 800+ on 91 oct, 1,100+ on E85, and 1,300 on C16. Also, the first ZL1 to go 200mph in the Texas mile. I didn't get any pictures because he asked me not to. ******* insane car though.
Then I went to the dragstrip yesterday and broke an axle lol all in good fun!

I was going to ask where this video was taken but then I saw the sign toward the end showing you were northbound on the 99 between Keyes and Ceres. That's not too far from my old stomping grounds up in Lodi, which we used to call Slow-di because nothing much ever happened in that town other than a member of CCR getting stuck once.

Quick little update. I got another Miata, it's a 91 with 101,xxx miles. It has cruise, power windows, power steerings, AC... blah blah blah. I have a few maintenance issues to address then I will start driving it to work everyday instead of my white car.
Here is the future plans for both cars,
The new car will receive the 6 speed, 3.90 Torsen, brakes, and all suspension out of my white car. Clean it up a little with some nice wheels and call it a day.
Here is where the fun begins. Saturday I am going to go pick up a LM4 which is the iron block 5.3l GM truck motor and also getting a Ford 8.8 out of a Thunderbird. I will be doing a DIY setup, probably using Steins build for a lot of references and ideas because I am very pleased how his came out with the 5.0. But I will be doing one thing differently... it is going to get a giant turbo bolted to it and going to see how much power I can make. I hope to make 1,000 but only time will tell. I will start posting pictures once I get the motor and rear end!
I think I have said it before, but honestly I want to thank everybody that has helped me with my build thus far, I truly feel the fun is just starting to begin!

Yeah I picked one up, but the more GM people I talked to the more I kept hearing them tell me to go with the iron block engine for what I want to do with it. So, I sold it for what I paid for it. It was just a long block with no accessories. I think the weight difference between the two is 80 pounds. With the power I want to make I feel that is pretty negligible to worry about.
