I am using the glowshift sandwich plate with -10an fittings. Mine works fine now. Just make sure when you install all the fittings to use locktight liquid sealant on them all and crank them as tight as humanly ------- possible.

On AN fittings? Is the quality of the ebay stuff that bad?

Actually ebay stuff isn't AN, so they won't work with off the shelf AN fittings, which you're not supposed to use any type of sealant on the threads for, since they don't seal.

I believe he's referring to the NPT threads in the plate, which you thread AN-NPT adapters in to.

And the larger fittings were equipped with rubber washers that did not require being gorilla tight, just pretty tight. You don't want to squeeze out or cut the rubber washer. The little ones I am not currently using were sealed with high temp RTV and installed reasonably tightly.

Post trackday inspection reveals broken turbo to manifold stud. Unable to extract stud from down in hole and the drilling was a cluster due to broken bits. Buggered hole will likely require 10mm stud after all this. Yay! So much fun.

I replaced the broken shifter bushings and everything else in there too. Much tighter, much better.

I replaced the broken speedo cable today, also.

Not yet. I frankly didn't think that running 6-8psi on the track was going to make enough heat and strain to do them in. Apparently the high MAT correction in the MS1 causing it to pull fuel and lean out the mixture in boost makes EGTs go through the effing roof. Somewhere in the MS code it should be written "Thou shalt not run 13.5 AFRs in boost on a hot track day in Miami when thine AITs be 115*F". This is especially frustrating when it was street tuned to run between 11 and 12.2 AFRs in that same boost range with AITs around 92*F.

My cheap Chinese turbo blanket has somewhat disintegrated after being subjected to the high heat as well. What is left of it is crunchy when you touch it.

TSK TSK TSK. I would not even think of going out on track without the inconel even if you are slow as balls. Time to upgrade to TSE studs.
