I have an extra 5 speed and there are 3 for sale on Craigslist now, asking 125, 180 & 200. In fairness, this tranny has been whining since MRLS. Everyone said it sounds like a stupor charger.

Yeah, it was kinda interesting, I rolled on the throttle at a lower RPM uphill to get some good data down there. I didn't really notice it and then 4th was fine, but 5th, rattle rattle. Uh oh!

My original 5-speed had been whining in 3rd for a good year before it finally let go at Laguna.

Well it still hasn't "let go" but it sounds like there are marbles in there. A couple big chunks came out with the oil but passed through the grid on my oil catch. Maybe I should be consistent with the theme of this build and flush it with some ATF or something, then refill it with Lucas oil.

Carlos are you able to do a clean VD pull? I want to at least get an idea of where this bad boy is at before you nuke the trans and it's down for who knows how long.
