I was idling in my driveway, playing with tuning my fan dip away, and I have been running the tank low to swap back to e85, when my car ran out of gas. Anyway, I figured it would be a good time to see how my submerged hoses held up with 3 months of e85.
Looks good.

My driveway simulates heavy braking during a hard left, thought you guys might want to see. This was sucking air.

Glad to see you drinking that E85 cool aid. Talk to me about sharing some of mine if needed on drag nights. I usually keep some at the shop up there.

Thanks man! I usually try to show up with almost a full tank, helps my 60' on my crap tires I never did get it running properly with the new injectors on petrol, so I want to run through another tank. No race 'til the 1st anyway.
I was wondering how you aquire/store your e85. Maybe I could get some kind of tank to wheel in and out of my truck, or even have a truck come fill it in my garage. Probably not allowed to store too much ethanol around here no prob at the track.

I used plastic gas jugs. I feel this is the best way to keep moisture out. With larger containers you have all that air above when partially full. That's a source of moisture you want to avoid since E85 is hygroscopic.

I buy it in Berkley on University Ave. The Chevron on Grand Ave near lake Meritt in Oakland has it too.

I have one jug and I usually fill it and my car in Berkeley or SF at Army under the 101, the 76 stations.

So I can't seem to get my dead times voltage correction working to my satisfaction. Never was truly happy with it, but it wasn't a problem with e85 or the smaller injectors. I did some trouble shooting and my voltage reads the same at my injectors and on tuner studio. However, there seems to be a delay in the tuner studio voltage reading. If I measure at the injectors I see a drop of about .3V when I turn the headlights on instantly. Tuner studio doesn't show it for a few seconds. Same when starting the car, the injector voltage climbs back to 13.9V very quickly, the tuner studio gauge takes forever.
I do think Nigel's dead times and voltage corrections are correct, I just don't think I am getting accurate voltage all the time.

Been looking at lots of wiring, my grounds are all good, I know, I know, MS3.

Post tune. You probably have smoothing turned on for the battery voltage

I know, I know, MS3.
Im not convinced that the 960s and 640s should run same settings

I am running 1.28ms dead time at 13.2V voltage correction at .14ms per volt. I think it might be closer to .13ms per volt but I was stuck on the volt smoothing. Did it to try and smooth my coolant temp a while back, all packed into one with voltage. I will share what I figure out about them soon.

These dead times are pretty good, definitely not less than .14ms per volt correction at 59.5-60psi base fuel pressure. Thanks again Aidan!

I sure wish I could smooth CLT independent from voltage, is that possible with MS3? Oh well, my wife made me promise to get my wisdom teeth pulled before I spend anymore money on my toy car. I hate oral surgery!

Just get Vlad to cut them out with a grinder and then spend the money on an MS3. Problem solved.

A six pack of beer and a dozen whip it's or so, not bad. He's so busy with everyone's tuning tho.

Figured out my idle issue.
First, I think the 1.28ms dead times are good but the ms2 needs higher voltage correction, maybe .22ms or more.

Now for the real problem.
My dumb *** let the MAP line get behind the clutch pedal last time I was under the dash. I could idle fine all day long, but push the clutch in to go and slow death with a constant MAP value. Glad I figured that out.

Running good as new again, full of e85, cut the chewed up vacuum line out and secured it properly this time.
Been doing some tuning, the 1.28ms dead times are pretty consistent from 60F this morning to 90F this afternoon. The voltage correction still seems a little low, but it's tolerable for now. I have a feeling about Wednesday night, maybe I just forgot how scary the thing is with e85.

How much timing can I run at ~ 9.5-1 compression, 26-28psi around 6 or 7 grand? Currently around 20° with no signs of detonation.

I've run as much as 30* on 8.6:1
You likely won't see det, but if it stops making power you need to stop and back off.

Can't believe how many shots they took of my car the last few times. Running well, as usual.

I really like these ones.

I'm guessing that turbo is working out for? What boost level you at?

Ok I had a look at the log from my 119mph passes. I was running just about 26psi, on e85 of course, with rather extreme timing IMO.
