Got the shifter piece in. Such a nice piece of machinework. Clean, simpler, rounded edges and even anodized black. My favorite color to spray bomb things

Definately in for this build. I was wondering how long you could keep this a secret lol; "I don't want to do a build thread" PSSSSHHHH.

I will be back in Chi suburbs very soon; if you need a hand just give me a call.

While it was going to be a GRM build I was definitely not doing a build thread until it was done. But as its now my track car... no reason to hide it. No drama to save

Dave doesn't ever actually work on his car in case you didn't know. He just talks about eventually working on it.

Nissan security can be fixed with an UpRev reflash. (IF the ecu/car/motor has UpRev support) Remove the NATS and then its just down to typical wiring.

I'm trying to pick a clutch/flywheel package for the car right now. No new fabrication yet.

Yes we have looked into uprev and the vehicle did have uprev support until we decided to put a vk56 in it. They said that they could still possibly tune it but wanted the vehicle at their shop in texas to do it.

The engine wasn't the complicated part it's the on the fly 4x4 . But were getting things figured out now. Apperently after all the nats com and vics are wired correctly you have to put in a 5 digit code via consult 3 and teach all the nats com to speak the same language apperently there are five different types of this language.

It's getting there. As I said depending on how your swap starts rolling I may pick his vq40 up. I didn't before because all I saw was haltech and ms for the management. Haltech makes the swap too expensive to not go ls1. And ms you lose the vvt.

So if uprev works for you I may copy you and swap my 01 nb. Let me know what you think of pushing the stock LSD with this engine. Gearing is prolly too short.

These
motors sound
amazing though

Have you recieved any support from UpRev yet? I have sent them a couple of e-mails. but, no luck on response. I may give them a call today to see what kind of info they need from me. I dont want to bug them to much. I would like to be on their good side haha. We will definitely need them.

Find a dealer (of UpRev) who does reflashes. Thats all you need. Unless you want to be able to tune on your own, then you need a more expensive package.

Mine is being done by a buddy who tunes.
