My wifes 08 FX35 got a whole lot better mileage than that. You must have a heavy right foot or forget to release the parking brake a bunch.

Why did you drop the GRM idea for the build? Can't phony up some cheap receipts?

Nope, I actually have them somewhere. More of the fact that the 323 GTX came along for a deal I could NOT pass up. To not make my wife hate me, I decided to sell the miata for the GRM build and eventually decided to put that drivetrain into my track car. Something fun to build basically.

Plus, I've been involved in a winning GRM build, been down there twice and will go again. So I'm in no rush.

The new aero bits that eventually go on. Just for fun, the old APR GTU wing in the middle.

Wing is a Buddy Club GT wing with the risers modified for an extra 5" in height. I will probably replace the endplates with something larger.
Lotus diffuser underpanel.

Partial trade with Aaron. Got rid of one of my spare 1.6ls. Its just a standard lotus piece... should give me a simple bit of additional aero back there. Makes it easier to be lazy also

i just finished installing a lotus diffuser on my car, had to cut a much bigger hole for the exhaust than i would have liked, but thought I would ask, how much you think it will actually help as a standalone under-body piece (meaning not in conjunction with full under-body paneling?)

good luck with the build

Honestly not a clue, I learn by doing/testing/guestimating. It'll be towards the end of everything.

So do I. Haven't gotten back into it yet. Have a few things to do before I can start (ie: other small house/gtx projects).

UpRev basically just fixes the security by removing it (along with tweaking/customizing the tune), allowing me to use the ecu like any other. I still have to setup relays and customize the engine harness, but its alot simpler with security components.

Oh, I understand the uprev but when I looked into about year and a half ago they weren't offereing a stand set up.

So I dropped the idea. I have swapped a nissan motor with consult three just took a lot of time in wiring the factory security in.

But I am really hoping on some engine bay shots maybe sub frame this swap shouldn't be that bad and have great power to weight.

I may follow in your footsteps with one of these engines sitting in a friends garage with 29k on it

I had every intention of doing this swap. But, started tearing into the engine that I bought and discovered that number 2cyl had spun a rod berring. Messed up the crank and the rod pretty bad. So, if u need any parts man just let me know. I've got alot of stuff for this swap.

and the car weighs 3300 pounds...

This is a cool and different and Splitime always goes apeshit with fabrication so I'm looking forward to the finished project.
