Does a better engine last longer?. Yes.

Besides significant over rev protection, the valves and seats tolerate the heat much better. Any steel gets softer, weaker when its hot. SS and Inconel less than the plain steel used in OEM valves.
OEM NB springs are the softest rates of all BP engine variants. All valve springs lose rate with age. The stiffer the spring and better the material, the less that matters. Soft valve springs hammer valve seats. Valve seats are typically the first thing to cause power loss in a
BP engine used on track.

There is lots more to cover, oil pump, bearings, rings, clearances, baffles. The rule set was designed to allow a junkyard NB motor or fresh BP05 motor to run two seasons on gas, if not egregiously over revved. Amdrew has proven that true in Rover.
Me, I like insurance and occasionally like the put the sequential in and do silly things.

Fun races. Fast laps in race 1 were only .1s apart, which is how we were on track. Nose to tail from start to finish. Hairy being a few feet off another S1 while sliding through T8 at 125mph at around 1.5g. Race video coming soon.

Max G braking for T1 from about 130mph. What's interesting is the relative lack of pitch thanks to 1200/600 rates. Despite that, it's actually very buttery on track, not nervous or twitchy.

T4. New for 2019 OS Gikens are magic in this turn. Lots of throttle steering.

Just chillin on grid in all it's resplendent orange-ness. Sparkly!

Are the rear LEDs extra brake lights or do they only come on during regen?

I see you guys are doing lots of tuning with your spring rates.

What symptoms are you looking at to go either up or down in rate front/rear? I take it you are running the 54106 front bar?

Balance first. Then roll and pitch control.

I read through the informaton regarding the crankcase vendilation issues you had, (both in this topic and on the silver, "Bullet" car).

I would like to ask what did you do with the valve cover baffle on the pcv (intake) side. Did you leave it in place or you removed it after blocking the outlet that was originally on that side of the valve cover?

Valve covers were unmodified.

I am in the process of building a heat shield and I am trying to get an idea of how yours attaches, how you are feeding fresh air to it, and the overall fitment with the TSE kit. I previously had the air filter running straight off my 6258 and intake temps are not the best.

NB has a hole under headlight that feeds to wheel well. That's bottom of box. Rest is fabbed so you make your own attachment points. Just a square aluminum box, nothing tricky.
