Fully E85 compatible (methanol, even), which suits the usage perfectly. The other benefit is that I'll be able to offer a PnP kit with all the lines cut to length at a fraction of the cost of doing everything in SS..
If you want some real gucci submersible hose to pair with the non-submersible Vapor Guard, Radium sells PTFE in tank hose.

don't corrugated hoses like that flow like dick?

I just used the Gates e85 hose. Got it from oreilly's for pennies. I needed a bunch of small pieces to connect the tank and filter and whatnot. The guys let me scrounge the leftover cuts in the backroom and i pieced together my entire tank side fuel system out of scrap.

Yep, I want nothing to do with corrugated hose. Most E85 hose isn't designed for submersible, unfortunately, so I'm not sure what I'll do there. I may call DW and see if there's anything special about the hose bits they include in their kits.

This took me way too long to make - a good reminder of why I outsource harnesses now 4-pin Amphenol on the end so I can quickly go back to stock coils if I ever need/want to. Bracket and wires from SADfab.

I got this

Radium also sells submersible, EFI rated, E85 rated rubber hose.

This implies they are wired in batch? 2x trigger, 1x power, 1x ground?

Funny you should link that, the fuel line I'm using is the Gates Barricade (MPI) 4219BF. You can't argue with 225psi working pressure and full compatibility with almost any common automotive fuel you can name.

Spec sheet here: http://www.gates.com/oreilly/PDFs/Fuel%20Systems.pdf

Lol, warnings

The PDF I linked above also covers the 4219 Submersible Hose

• Engineered for constant contact with gasoline (and other liquid petroleum distillates) on the inside and the outside.
• Excellent for use on fuel pumps in the gas tank.
• Meets the SAE 30R10 specification for submersible fuel line hose applications.
• Fluoroelastomer (FKM) tubed cover resists gas permeation and retards aging.
• Aramid Fiber reinforcement—the same fiber used in bulletproof vests and is pound-for-pound stronger than steel.
• Maximum temperature +302°F (+150°C)
(Product Type 4219)
And my 4219BF MPI hose looks like this:

Patented 5-layer Greenshield™ barrier technology keeps fuel out of the environment while delivering peak fuel efficiency.

• Exceeds SAE J30R14T3 (except for kink resistance) as well as low-permeation requirements for CARB
• Aramid reinforcement spiral braid for superior burst strength

I find it humorous that they call out "alcohol-extended gasoline" in the 4219 product description but not specifically E85 like they do with the 4219BF. Humorous because using that nomenclature I'd think of E85 as "gasoline-extended alcohol"

So my question is; does SAE 30R10 specifically cover E85?

SAE is trying to sell me a PDF of the current standards, so that's a nope: J30: Fuel and Oil Hoses - SAE International

Anyone smarter than me able to confirm that?

Yes, batch. Practicing what I preach - no need for sequential ignition, IMO. Secondary ground will get grounded to the intake manifold.

All done with the truck coil install. Still deciding what to do about the fuel pump wiring. Leaning towards the Radium parts just for simplicity.

Since overdwelling these is a recipe for kablooey, here's the factory GM dwell table for D585s.

Massaging that into something the MS3 likes ends up looking like this. I'm satisfied with these. The people complaining about high-RPM scatter are dwelling the coil at 5+ms - I'll spend most of my time in the <4ms range.

And all that to prevent this horrible bullshit. Look between the two pulleys for the timing mark:

Thanks for the MS3 tables. Just copied into my tune that's just about ready for when I get around to first startup.

When I get mine installed i'll hook up a scope and see if I can find a set dwell that they max at.

You should add those tables to the LS coil thread. For future reference.

Andrew I think you have the wires in the wrong order. It looks like 1 should go on 2, 2 on 3, 3 on 4, and 4 goes on 1. It works fine the way you have it if that is your preference, but I intended them to go like this.

I just stole this as well. My battery correction was already pretty close.
I did not have dwell table on though. I just had my Nominal Dwell at 4.2 and spark duration at 0.7 and it seemed to run fine. From what I am understanding the dwell table is to prevent unwanted spark advance due to rpm and dwell? Is there any other setting that should be tweaked for table use over fixed dwell? This post is awesome. When I installed my gm coils the biggest issue I had was researching MS3 settings. This would have helped a bunch. I second adding it to the GM coil sticky.
