This is what a small but disproportionately vocal and recognized minority of young-adults in the US actually wants:





Like, for real. If you're laughing at this photo, then you know what's supposed to be there instead of the ducks.

But I am entirely certain that the pro-socialist folks within the US actually do see the ducks. Or, they see something else which is equally friendly and non-threatening.

 

I wonder if they feel that relying on the government to support them is a better option than being in control of their own destiny.

 

I'm not sure that the idea of being in control of one's own destiny is even something to be considered here.

This is the generation which, due to the parenting styles of my own generation, has been helicoptered and play-dated and tracked every moment of their life They've never experienced freedom and self-determination.

 

It is very sad when you think of it that way. The future generations have become property of the state with no identity. Also little to no common sense.

 

yeah but think of all the great grooming books they can read in school though...


if anything it's pissing off the oldest-child-loyal-handout-base because they are being passed over by the new baby.

For some reason, I am right now reminded of a quote by attorney Kevin Underhill (a famous legal satirist) which opens an opinion piece he wrote for Forbes in 2011: You Say "Indefinite Military Detention of Citizens" Like It's a Bad Thing.



Anyway, there's plenty of intolerance for all of us.
