Thought it was pretty well written - although the title is a bit clickbaity. At the very least, extreme caution towards Russia seems warranted. and how will we remember anything but how amazing news-people are? https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...92&oe=5BC614A2 |

meanwhile, a bunch of peace-lovers teaching children how to peace in NM: https://www.cnn.com/2018/08/09/us/ne...ren/index.html In court filings this week, prosecutors allege: • One of the rescued children told a foster parent the suspects "trained the child in the use of an assault rifle in preparation for future school shootings." • They believe the children were taken to New Mexico to receive advanced weapons training but didn't reveal any further details. • They argue that if the suspects were to be released, there is a substantial likelihood the defendants may commit new crimes due to their planning and preparation for school shootings. • At least two of the rescued children say that Abdul-Ghani died at the compound. One of the children says an adult buried the boy there. https://cdn.cnn.com/cnnnext/dam/asse...xlarge-169.jpg |

https://www.dailywire.com/news/34382...mpaign=crowder Democratic Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney of New York did not hold back his disdain for President Donald Trump or his supporters when he called them “a**holes” and shouted that he does not “give a f***” what Trump fans say. The Washington Free Beacon reports that he was responding to a question from a reporter at a townhall stop while on the campaign trail to become New York's Attorney General. He was asked a question about a recent campaign ad where he called Trump fans “home invaders” and said he would use a baseball to defend himself against them. "The baseball bat is about defending your home and your family when someone’s coming through the front door and you have nowhere to run,” he said, adding: “That’s not violence, that’s self-defense. That’s making a decision that you’re going to make a stand or go down swinging." When the reporter asked if Trump supporters might take issue with his harsh rhetoric, Maloney said he didn't care. "I don’t give a f*** what the Trump fans say,” he replied. “That’s not what this is about. This is about speaking from the heart. About a family I’ve built for 25 years that’s in the crosshairs of these a**holes. And doing something about it." Maloney continued: "It feels like the people who are fueled by hate, demagoguery and anger have their s*** together, and those of us who want to talk about love and hope and inclusion have been hiding in the shadows.” He added: "And it’s time to get out of the shadows and at least defend our ground. But I’d rather even get on offense." It is a little ironic that Maloney is talking about people fueled by hate when it was he who said in an ad that he would beat up Trump supporters with a baseball bat, calling it “self-defense.” |
Oh yes, love hope and inclusion. He sounds like a sweet fellow.

https://www.cbr.com/batwoman-ruby-ro...-fan-backlash/ Just days after it was announced Ruby Rose had been cast as Kate Kane, aka Batwoman, the actress has left Twitter. While Rose’s casting was celebrated by many, the news was also met with a fair amount of backlash. For some fans, the decision to cast a non-Jewish actress was problematic, while others felt The CW could have easily decided to give a lesser-known LGBTQ actress a chance to star in the role. ... Rose has been very vocal about her excitement over the role since her casting was announced. Not only has she called the role a “childhood dream,” but she also went on to say she wished she’d had the chance to see a role like Batwoman when she was growing up as part of the LGBTQ community. While Rose has left Twitter, she’s still active on Instagram where she continues promoting her latest film The Meg. However, it appears she has since adjusted the comments settings on her posts, possibly in order to avoid the backlash on Instagram. |

I don't even understand the noise over Ruby Rose getting a leading role on a TV series.
She is a lesbian, so what? Doesn't matter in the least one way or another. Why does it matter if she plays the role as straight or gay? She is an actress. What DOES matter is how effectively she plays the role as an actress. That is why they call it "acting". |

You cannot ever be enough. you're always wrong. you're always offensive. Ruby Rose is basically Alt-Right. in 2018, actors are no longer allowed to act -- my culture is not your performance. only people who match the character 100% -- despite acting ability -- are allowed to play these roles. you need PC training. |
