I have a raging clue that the obviously leaked Muller report was a nothing burger:

Up here in space
I'm looking down on you
My lasers trace
Everything you do
You think you've private lives
Think nothing of the kind
There is no true escape
I'm watching all the time
I'm made of metal
My circuits gleam
I am perpetual
I keep the country clean
I'm elected electric spy
I'm protected electric eye
Always in focus
You can't feel my stare
I zoom into you
You don't know I'm there
I take a pride in probing all your secret moves
My tearless retina takes pictures that can prove
I'm made of metal
My circuits gleam
I am perpetual
I keep the country clean

then there's this ******* guy:
Facebook Post
"It seems to me that you people believe that the role of government is to tax people as much as possible, so that you and your benevolent fellow academics can dream up more programs for the government to spend money on. I don't believe that."

^ That's actually kind of amusing. I wonder when we'll get to see statistics on the sales of PortesCard.
"no personal data is collected during the process of purchasing the PortesCard from the retailer, activating it through the app, or creating an AgeID account, for a completely anonymous age verification experience."

Hillary is a sure bet to win in 2020:
Or... maybe not:
What scares me a little about this is that while she's a crook, Clinton probably would have been fairly harmless in the grand scheme of things as compared to someone like Sanders, who of course now stands a much better chance at a primary win.
I fear this one is going to boil down to which has alienated the greatest number of centrist voters: the continued buffoonery of orange man (and the growing belief that all Republicans are literally* *****), or the fact that the democratic party is leaning so far left at this point that it can see Russia... the 1917 version (and ignorance of the fact that a growing number of democratic leaders are literally** Communists.)

at least Sanders is honest with his ideas of how he wants to destroy america from within.
unrelated:
unrelated:
"I was one of the few white public officials who supported Jesse Jackson for president of the United States, and he ended up winning Vermont," Sanders said. "I think if you look at my record in terms of civil rights and other areas, you’ll find that it is consistently a very, very strong record."
"Any legislation you can point to?" asked Charlemagne tha God.
After a pause, Sanders said he’d passed laws that help working people generally.
"Well, legislation that benefits African Americans, yeah, we—but not specifically—we passed legislation that benefits working people, sure," Sanders said. He did not cite any specifics.

National Security Agency halts surveillance program

The National Security Agency has stopped using a surveillance program in recent months that relied on bulk data collected from US domestic phone records, according to a Republican congressional official.
The program authorized under the USA Freedom Act, requires reauthorization at the end of the year and the Trump administration may not seek to extend it, according to Luke Murry, national security adviser to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.

Hillary says she will not be running for President this time around but I see signs she is positioning herself to be the Vice Presidential running mate.
According to media accounts she has been having face to face meetings with all the front runners (except Bernie) to discuss funding and tactics since they started declaring their intention to run.
Whomever wins the nomination needs huge piles of $$$ and she made some sort of general statement a few months after losing the election that she would be setting up an organization to start collecting funds for whomever runs for President in 2020.
At the time I figured she would be heading up some sort of PAC in order to keep her stroke in the party but now I think she was thinking longer term and bigger plans.
Why be the point person if you can be the power behind the throne?

That idea scares me less than President Sanders.
And far less than the notion that, within 20 years or so, we'll be having* this same discussion over the possibility of President Ocasio-Cortez (or equivalent.)
* = assuming that IB hasn't completely destroyed all internet forums with their malevolently incompetent software design. It almost makes me wonder if IB isn't secretly on the payroll of the USCommunist Democratic Party, in an effort to eliminate forums for free political discourse among the peasantry electorate.

Great minds think alike!
That is exactly where my thoughts are heading.
She is probably rooting for the oldest and/or unhealthiest candidate to maximize the chances of death or stroke while in office.
She did say very clearly in an interview a couple of weeks ago that she will not be putting her self up as presidential candidate but her utmost desire is to become president.
That was the interview that solidified my feeling of her actual path forward.
Strange how "House of Cards" already used that story line.

Unrelated, AOC apparently realized that some people would rather have jobs than not, and that for a city to receive some tax revenue from a company is better than then receiving no tax revenue from anybody.
AOC backtracks on Amazon as chief of staff says company's 25,000 jobs MIGHT be welcome in New York City under the right 'community process'

AOC Suggests the Media Unfairly Target Her Personal Life
...
First of all, the article she is referencing about her mom’s view of her relationship includes an interview with her mom. So, if she didn’t want the media reporting on her family life, maybe she should tell her family to stop talking to the media. Seems a little simpler than having to put all that effort into playing the victim, right?
Second of all, she’s wrong. She’s not the only one — far from it. In fact, the first thing I thought of when I saw this tweet was “Okay, then why do I know that the president loves Diet Coke more than he loves condoms?” I mean, seriously. The media doesn’t just also sometimes report on President Trump’s personal life; it is actually completely obsessed with President Trump’s personal life!
Don’t believe me? Here are some actual headlines from President Trump’s time in office: “Trump’s alleged failure to use condoms with Stormy Daniels, Karen McDougal raises questions, concerns” (The Mercury News). “What Melania & Trump’s Hand-Holding Struggles Say About Their Marriage, According To Body Language Experts” (Bustle). “Every time Donald and Melania Trump have faked holding hands with each other” (The Independent). “This absurdly uncomfortable video of Donald Trump trying to hold Melania’s hand is going viral — here’s what a body language expert has to say about it” (Insider). “Reporter asks Melania Trump: Do you love your husband?” (ABC). “Trump doesn’t want Barron to play football” (CNN). “Inside Melania Trump and Barron Trump’s Relationship” (The Cheat Sheet). I could go on, but I unfortunately have dinner plans in about five hours, and finding all of the headlines about the Trumps’ personal lives would probably not allow me to eat until approximately 2037.
Now, I do realize that she referred specifically to “members,” but that doesn’t make her tweet any less stupid. Other members of Congress have to deal with speculation about their personal lives, too. In 2018, Sen. Lindsey Graham felt the need to come out to the media and say that he’s not gay. Here’s a McClatchy article that gets into the legal troubles of Senator Ted Cruz’s half-sister, who died in 2011. In 2016, The Daily Mail ran a piece titled “EXCLUSIVE: Bernie Sanders’ very 1960s love life revealed — his first wife, the woman who had his son, and the sugar shack home where he lived as a ‘revolutionary.’” Senator Kamala Harris’s affair with Willie Brown dominated almost an entire news cycle.
In other words: If someone really did tell her that politicians’ personal lives are off-limits for the media, then they were, quite clearly, wrong. Politicians, particularly famous stars like Ocasio-Cortez, are always going to face that kind of scrutiny because, well, they’re famous. I’m not saying it’s good; I’m not saying it’s bad; I’m saying it’s life — and pretending to be some kind of unique victim in a situation where you’re not one doesn’t accomplish anything except make you look foolish.
