Yet more evidence of the failure of capitalism. It took the greedy factory-owners more than a week to restore supply to normal after an unprecedented surge in demand and mass-hoarding.
In a capitalist-free environment, we would have had false reassurances from the government within hours telling us all that factory output had miraculously tripled overnight, and history would record that despite a decline in factory output, output had in fact tripled.
she on humeria? im on a similar ( but way less scary ) biologic but still going out to the store obviously...
No, Humira and a few others didn't work for her, she's on Orencia now.
They always start people on methotrexate which is an old chemo drug. I think this is this 3rd or 4th biologic she's tried and this one actually works for her, been on it for roughly a year now.
There was also a HUGE we're hiring sign out front...
Why would anyone want to work in a grocery when they're soon to get $600/week on top of whatever the state gives for unemployment. Take the 8 weeks to look then go to work. Wasn't that the conservative senators logic?
Like the caveats stated are not enough for intelligent people to know snake oil from good stuff.
Americans spend over $30 billion per year on homeopathic and alternative-medicine products. That's triple the amount spent on cat food, which is proven to be nearly 100% effective for its labeled purpose.

We have people who are making $15+ an hour walking out. They can all make more money not working.

So, no.
Was hoping someone would take that bait launch pad.
******* capitalism... Even Home Depot has toilet paper back on the shelves...
How are we supposed to manufacture synthetic outrage for political gain in response to a genuine natural emergency when even the hardware store has the one thing we thought could be our touchstone in stock, and at a non-inflated price?

So they were furloughed, they didn't quit. That's very different.
There are also exceptions for quitting with "Good Cause." IE you're being harassed, hostile work environment, etc. But that is damn hard to prove.
