Not for from an atheist, tax-based-on-wealth, second amendment proponent. We can glare at each other from across the street and hate one another for our differences.

Also, I agree w/ Scott about the whole "diversity" thing. Diversity in wealth is a, maybe even the major form of diversity. And in order for people to be diverse, it must be more then superficial. Over time we will get less diverse (in the traditional scene) b/c as all Joes kids get older, they will assimilate into American culture and loose some of there native culture.

 

I'm glad you understood what I was getting at. Diversity isn't "bad," but in most context it's "our workplace is diverse because we employ black people." That has nothing to do with diversity.

Diversity is "good" when you have a panel of experts trying to come up with the best solution....like cabinet members, but still, it's something that must be overcome, it's not necessarily a strength, but you do get to hear from different view points & ideas. Obviously, things would be easier without diversity in this case, as you would all come up with the same solution if you all had same point of view, but it might not be the most well thought out one.
