He gave out free healthcare and other forms of social welfare, and by many conservatives definition that makes a person (or in this case demigod) a socialist.

Religious shenanigans and how one would think that Christians (today) would have values more similar to the values of the 1/3 god they worship. Or at least thats where I think I was going with this.

That's stupid.

A socialist wants the gov't to take money "for the poor" at gunpoint.

In what little I know about the bible, it never advocated that.
In contrast, it advocated helping the poor VOLUNTARILY, not forced by the gov't.
