Exclamation **Official Intake Manifold Thread**

So I've done some searching this morning as I'm thinking of upgrading my ported stock intake mani for a cleaner look but I can't seem to find anything solid. Post up different options we have in this thread along with numbers or any related info.

So far I know of:

Stock (ported/polished)--not a signifigant benefit over completly stock
Performer X/Blox/Skunk2 with modified flange
BEGi (heard was not a good optioon)
I saw a small add in here for another nice looking mani for $700 or so complelty custom aluminum but I cant find it now.

Let's get some intake options here!

No thats not mine, There are a few threads around with mine in them, or on my web site to.

This was my prototype that I recently sold to Falcon.

https://www.miataturbo.net/showthrea...t=55533&page=4

And the dyno

https://www.miataturbo.net/dynos-timesheets-21/built-1-6l-c30-94-rotrex-14-8psi-peak-59448/

I recently did a honda mani conversion for someone and wont do it again, the casting is the crappiest aluminum I have ever welded in my life, and it took me just about as long as it would have to just build a new one.

(that's my engine in that picture BTW).

If you think the EUDM intake manifold is crap you'd better speak with Emillo and tell him he is wrong

It's crap unless you're trying to make crap HP.

BTW sorry for insulting your OEM engine. I know it's unique and precious.

I followed those threads and was underwhelmed by the dearth of information.

Cliffs:
  • It looks a little less restrictive than the POS-USDM manifold.
  • Track folks wanna try one.
  • People would buy one if it was cheap.
  • It is hard to get/expensive.
  • Somebody heard Scrooge McDuck bought up all the supply all so he can swim around in a big pile of OE Manifolds.

No performance data available.

Look, I asked Rick about implementing a "gmail goggles" style math test for you before you post but he said it isn't possible.
