Here's an overall shot showing my temporary master cylinder heat shield...

Yeah, it's the tag that came on the car when I bought it. I plan to replace it with something else eventually, but it works fine for now. The reservoir is also wrapped in reflective wrap. I think I got the idea from a post of Brain's.

Ignore the tennis ball hanging in the foreground...

Yeah, it's not ideal, but it's temporary. Heater lines are wrapped in reflective wrap as well.
Hood is off because I was pulling the engine (you can see some wires labeled in blue).
Tennis ball is so my wife knows how far to pull in the garage. When it hits the windshield, STOP.

well i added a top to my heat shield.. hood over the turbo is cold... its warm right in front by the radiator fans, it little warm in the middle above the engine and then cools off more over the intake side again however its nothing like how cold it is by the air filter. The air filter is ice cold even after a 40 minutes drive. i'll post some pics when i get home.

That's awesome. I need to do this on mine. The hood gets to hot to touch nust after normal driving.

Nice design, good layout, but DAYMN... take those tinsnips, and round all the corners, and file down the edges. Your waiting for a cut arm working around that thing.

Ive thought about adding a top to my shield, but i ended up putting a piece of alum, on the hood, Pop Riveted to the cross braces to the hood.

Nice.
