4-2-1 Turbo manifold
#117
I have built and 4-2-1 exhaust and it works good.
running and 99 1.8L nb
TD04-15T turbo from a saab 9000 aero.
spools at 1800-1900rpm and 12psi @ 2500rpm
made 198rwhp and 232Nm at 8psi
Instant boost on hi revs so must be wokring good.
Tubes are 38mm inside and all have almost the same length.
My experince says 4-2-1 works. But it takes some time to build it.
Next one i build will be a 4-1 because its easyer to build. (Soon changing to a TD05-16G turbo)

Nerdy OCD is saying "hey, the PCV line on the valve cover looks stressed, you might want to get a longer hose or something; also, your heater core lines prolly see plenty of heat and will die sooner too...but Im sure the heat wrap does help out reasonably
I dunno. I have problems.
I dunno. I have problems.
The picture is taken under the build. So not everthings is ready when this picture was taken.
The plan is to make some heat-wrap around the heater core lines. But havent been done yet.
The car has been driven around 900miles now and 4 trackdays and everything works great.
The heatwrap does miracle for keeping the heat inside the mainfold. when the engi has been running for some minuts you can still put your and on the heat-wrap but not the parts that dosent have it.
Hope you understand my crappy english.. Im from sweden
