God forbid someone try and improve on a design and goes off the beaten path. Let's all just be happy with what we have and stop progress in all designs.

Engineered, tested, without fail for a season on a turbo, supercharged, and naturally aspirated vehicle?? Friction and normal force have been around since freaking newton wrote the Principia in the 1600's. Also, if the bolts did slip they surely are not going to slip outside of the adjustment range because that would mean shearing 3 5/16's inch studs or ripping the entire cam gear in half. If you have anything that violent happen trust me, the valves are the least of your worries.

Right now we have 3 indicators as stock for synch. I don't think you'd want to do much with the cam as far as timing because its connected to the crank by a bungee cord.
