was able to mod the box just fine. I need to still rivet some aluminum sheet to cover the now large hole, then put the lip i bent up in a vice to flatten it out. But It's pretty much done now.

very nice. Im jealous. Now all you gotta do is show some love to the valve cover.

btw- I just noticed that this road work sign I found on the side of the road is aluminum sheet. Nice and thick too... hmmm.

Local powdercoater will do it for sixty beans....just gotta find 60 beans laying around.

here you go matt and ben:

I took a piece of heater hose, filled it with silicone and then stuck two bolts on either end. gave it a session in the oven and a few days in the glovebox to completely cure.

screwed it and and will loosely tighten the top nut. allows for lots of movement.
