fwiw - I used nordlock washers (from fastenal) on my new turbo install and reassembly and they haven't budged. I have no idea why that fastenal was so expensive. I paid .88 for the 8s and 1.09 for the 10s. You can also order the same design washer from McMaster- believe it's called a stepped locking washer. Are the copper nuts reusable?

hustler: AUDI DEALERSHIP. walk in. say you want 8x1.25 turbo nuts. haggle. walk out with deal-boner.

I think the coppers are reusable. at least a couple times. I have. btw, I did replace my studs at one point which may help the loosening issue. in any case, I love my stud install/removal tool.

I'm assuming the nuts are copper coated - correct? Does the copper act like a high temp thread locker?

sure, let me know. I'm going to try these first on y8s' recommendation, then try safeywire washers.

I might just order both, just in case.

Great find for cheap. Hopefully that place doesn't rape you on shipping. I'll definitely archive that link.

Ouch shipping is like 11 bux.....although we can buy a bunch of them and then split em.

21.16 for 30 shipped to my house....not horrid. What do they run per at the dealer?
