Where in the hell does this snap ring go?

****, well i figured it out but forgot to put the cap under the exhaust turbine

often times on those snap-rings, there is a completely flat side and a slightly rounded side. If yours is like that, completely flat side goes IN, rounded goes out.

Why does it matter? I have no idea but a turbo rebuilder specialist guy told me that once.

well thats good because thats the way i installed them. The thing i forgot was to push the bearing plate down inside the o-ring i put inside the turbo, then had to take it all apart again. I did get 2 little 16mm snap rings that i no idea where they go, i didn't take any off that size so i have no idea, did i miss something? Thx for the picture braineack
