can i use USB to USB to run EMB to laptop?

was wondering if i can run USB to USB to link EMB to laptop?

The port on the EMB, although it uses a USB-style connector, is not USB. You need the RS-232 "support tool" cable.

If your local Staples is an authorized Greddy dealer, then they should be able to get it for you. Otherwise you have two options:

You can buy the official Support Tool package from Mohd: http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/#supporttool

You can attempt to build this hacked cable: http://sirk.hu/other/e-manage/DIY%20...ble%20V1.1.doc If you get it working, you'll still need to obtain a copy of the software- Greddy does not give it away, unlike the EMU tuning software.

You can also download the software in the Yahoo eManage groups.
We use to have it here, but someone deleted the entire EM forum a few months ago... ALOT of info was lost...
