How many of you are running a wideband and narrowband at the same time?

What's the point of running a narrowband? Long term trim? Is it worth it?

I ask since I just got a PLX wideband sensor and am considering yanking my stock narrowband from my downpipe. I also have the hydra wideband. Which I am going to remove after tuning.

You could buy a wideband that outputs narrowband and then you are set for both.

Well this is really a tuning issue vs a monitoring issue. If my **** is lean in boost I will know it pretty quickly :|

Is narrowband closed or open loop feedback to the EMS a good thing? And if so, why?

On numerous occasions I've had to time drive without an o2. once tuned, you technically don't need any, but closed loop is nice to "double-check" your tuning.

Only Wideband, Innovate, no O2, Florida gives you a discount if check engine is ON.

What widebands can output to narrowband? I have been thinking about getting a wideband to see how my setup runs, but don't have the room to tap for another bung.

I don't know about Hydra, but unless you live someplace where the weather is constant, (like socal, lol ) the stock ecu, (or my old link) uses the narrow band o2 to ensure the best mpg and low emissions regardless of temp/weather conditions during low throttle or cruising. You could use a wideband o2, a lot of the newer cars do, but would be a waste if you don't have a wideband gauge to monitor, or your ecu doesn't adj. fuel % while cruising.

narrowband is useful for idle tuning because its better with lower gasflows than wideband. otherwise doesn't matter.

Bumping this from the dead since I'm about to have a downpipe made....Should I put a 2nd bung for a narrowband, or just go wideband ? I'm assuming I can tune out and CEL lights for the lack of a NB o2 on any standalone I get (most likely a MS).

So from what I've got - the NB o2 is good for idle tuning, but other than that it is worthless - correct?

So in the interest of cutting this short - good idea to get 2 bungs... ? lol

Prosport Gauges

Ours does, specifically dual output signals, 0-1v and 0-5v. So using only the supplied Bosch 4.9 sensor you can check both.
