Any recommendations on documentation on wire twisting? I've guessed but doing it right would be nice.

Thanks! Looking back on pictures of the wiring I did on my miata in High School gives me anxiety haha. It's just that most people don't know how to properly wire.

You should have seen one of our old fsae cars that was wired by an EE. Lamp cord is good for wideband wiring right?

Heh, in my old miata I used speaker cable :O. The first FSAE car I wired was a rats nest, then got better and better as I did 4 cars and worked at MoTeC. Then I was making stuff like this (it was for a micro sprint car):
