Ive been playing some BF3. Tried it out over the holidays again and it seems that the bugginess on my end went away.

Added an Onkyo surround sound stereo (retired the 1997 Kenwood) and the game just became that much more better. I love the graphics still.

i have to d/l the stupid game cause the dvd=rom i got is fubar.

 

Yeah I had issues installing as well, had to talk to a rep, lol.

 

ppl still buy game discs?

 

ugh the download didnt work. got my cdrom to read the disc after a reset, but now i must uninstall the installed game that doesnt run first...

omfg.

 

finally got the game installed from the dvds. but now im 30% into a 4gb update...
wtf.

You couldn't dl through Origin? If not, my guess is holiday gifting of games resulting in major bandwidth overload. If your optical drive is fine, it's probably not playing nice with whatever DRM the game is using. These kind of issues are unfortunately unavoidable sometimes when gaming on PC. Consoles aren't completely free of this either, when I don't play my consoles for awhile, and out of the blue decide I wanna play... boom massive update time.

 

i did d/l it through origin, then when i tried to play it, it said, error starting bf3, reinstall the game.

the current 4gb update d/l is taking forever. where I was able to d/l the 18gb game very quickly.

 

this might explain things:




okay, now its rocking at 43 kb/s, whatever server this update is on sucks, the game was d/ling MUCH faster, where I got all 18gb within 2 hours. This says 12hours remaining.

 

Might be downloading smaller files, installing then more files.

 

Finalllllllllllllllly. yes in 2 hours it downloaded 200mb.

 

I'm getting so ******* sick of this game and all of the camping snipers on my team. Our team is capable of winning, but thanks to 3/4 of the team camping out at the spawn, sniping, we can't capture and hold objectives, because they aren't close to an objective! So me and like 4 guys do all of the work and try to pull off a win, but we just can't do it alone. Then you have the asshats who run around doing nothing but grenade launchers and rpg's on the run. It gets old.

I did and now it's downloading the 4gb update again.

I clearly hate this game. I've never had so much trouble before with any game, but always with EA stuff. BFBC2 is always buggy, but at least the damn game installed and I can still play it...

 

I just got an email that said welcome to Battlefield3 and to do my battle log and ****, so maybe the install finally worked.
