Was Apple intentionally putting lead ballast in them or something? And no carrying handle like the iMac, plus a totally slick, smooth case with no hard edges. Great design, there. Skip to 1:36. |

Yeah, you can change your name pretty easily. And if you insert a different number of spaces before the [MT] at the end, the game accepts it and yet it's virtually indistinguishable. (Look closely at the screencap- that's the difference between the three of us.)

Also, you may be able to do spaces before everything and after everything, Im not sure on that though. |
Another Thraddax reporting in. Split was too big of a chicken to play though.
|
I just don't sport other names, its an old habit.
Who wants to boycott the idiot panel tonight? |
Looks like Split Time is just too cool to join our gang. :D

Joe, you left just as I came into that game :p

I crashed, and couldn't get back in (Server Full).
Hell of a cool server, though. Before you got there, we were playing the Ghost Fort map, and both teams were actually coordinating with one another to NOT kill each other and NOT run down the capture clock, waiting for Merasmus to appear, and then being very careful NOT to kill one another while killing him. I scored both of the Necromannchievements, and got a Skull Island Topper hat, a Mildly Disturbing Halloween Mask, and a Horseless Headless Horseman's Head hat. |
Apparently I got banned from the server for cheating.

Wait, what? Sam = l33t haxor!?!

I have been to caught up in Resident Evil 6 and SC2 to open steam. Maybe one day this week I will get on. |
I trolled a couple of kids last week by sniping them while they were awaiting the arrival of an apparition. They were pretty irate.
lol. |

I am currently installing TF2 natively in Mint Linux. I have been waiting for a native Linux Steam client for forever, I am glad it is finally here.
|
I play tf2 most nights for at least a few minutes.
|
Anyone down for a game in say an hour or so?
|
On the one hand, I recognize the value of maintaining a consistent avatar and name, so that others can easily recognize you.
On the other hand, I am seriously tempted to change my handle in TF2 to Monsieur Bœuf la Tête. |
I'm on the consistent side. Same alias for Everything.
|
I know, it was kind of a joke.
Nobody gets the reference? |
I'm Normal! I'm Normal! This is my dog!

No. But I might as well have been, we only came here in 91.
In the early 1990s, MTV carried an experimental program called Liquid Television. Each half-hour episode consisted of a number of short films, each of which was produced in a different medium (cel animation, stop-motion animation, live-action, CG, puppetry, etc). As an example of the type of programming carried, Beavis & Butt-head and Æon Flux originally started out as short cartoons within Liquid Television. One of the stranger episodes (and they were all extremely trippy) was Joe Normal, a 60 second clip about a kid from an exceedingly crazy family who tries to convince himself that he is normal. Among other things, he has a pet dog named Monsieur Bœuf la Tête, which is French for Mr. Beef-head. (The dog is extremely abnormal.) To be fair, this was one of the lest funny cartoons in the entire series, however the exact phrase "Monsieur Bœuf la Tête" somehow managed to spawn what we would today consider to be an internet meme, despite the fact that almost nobody actually had access to the internet in 1991, and the WWW itself didn't even exist yet. If you are bored, you can watch all of the old clips here: Liquid Television Classic – Liquid Television Some of them were actually quite good, other of them sucked hard. To all you kids today who think that your generation invented the concept of re-purposing nostalgic imagery from the 1950s and 60s in vulgar and absurd ways, check out Bobby and Billy. That's right, bitches. We were mangling wholesome 50s pop culture back in 1990. And, rounding the harbor back into Ritalin Bay: http://static.fjcdn.com/pictures/Man...6a_4242335.png |

I just couldn't find a decent server last night. They were all either massively imbalanced, filled with mic spammers and children who just learned how to use profanity, or some other such thing.

I am finally getting tf2 downloading in Linux. 1 hour 43 minutes till I try out the native game. I have high hopes for it running well.
|
I hit a few new servers last night. One was all rainbow pony town and rainbow pony dance club and other weirdness. They got mad when I was killing them in the dance club. "Hey! No killing," they whined again and again. I'm puzzled by their gay little circle jerk.
|
so is there some MT package I get if I conform and start playing with you gheys?
I dont want YOUR package, fyi. Just to be in b 4 that joke. |
So I landed on an excellent server last night running 2Fort. All excellent players, no babies, great team coordination, etc. We're talking about 2Fort rounds that last a whole hour without being boring.
One of the players was named "Vash the Stampede." Not knowing at the time that this is apparently the name of some popular cartoon character, I assumed that this was a totally unique name (like Thraddax the Insidious) and spent the whole game talking to him as though he were our Vash. |

It happens to the best of us Joe. I on the other hand found a terrible server yesterday. Needless to say, hilarity ensued. The admin was playing as a soldier and insisted on rocket jumping across the bridge (also 2fort) So I pulled out my reserve shooter and shot him out of the air. He got frustrated and teleported me infront of him and killed me. lol. On top of that, there was a scout that insisted on trying the same thing every time, with the same results of me burning him to death at least 20 times in almost the exact same spot. :noob: |
I had good luck sniping soldiers who were rocket jumping right at the top of their arc where they slow down a bit. Doesn't work if they are moving a great distance but works well if they are mostly going straight up and down.
I think I'll play a bit since I'm thinking about it. |
