B6T 323 GTX Camshaft?
My seat of the pants butt dyno measurements couldn’t tell much difference between the Miata 5 speed cam and a B6t cam. I got better spool by putting a 1.6 automatic cam on the exhaust however which has less lift and less duration.

Im running a b6t intake cam and miata exhaust cam in my b6t. Picked up 10hp on the dyno. I ran all of the stock cam specs through dyno sim and that was the best setup. Heres the dyno vid. http://www.streetfire.net/video/turb...yno_156375.htm

Spreadsheet where I measured 1.6L cams lift at the valve using a dial indicator and a degree wheel. The 207 was a Webbcam grind number.
Actually the automatic exhaust cam has the same lift with less duration both opening and closing were in-between the other cams. Seat of the pants without a dyno I couldn’t tell the difference between the B6t and the 5 speed miata cams. The auto exhaust cam spooled the turbo better and seemed to make more mid range probably at the expense of peak power.

I had a buddy that fit an auto motor with his greddy kit, spooled faster had better peak tq than most greddy kits but had crap for top-end.
10psi IIRC

With the auto cams it is not so much the less overlap it is the reduced duration I think and especially the reduction in lift on the intake cam. run the auto exhaust cam only with the 5 speed intake cam and you get much of the added spool benefit and less of the top end hit was my butt dyno impression.
The auto was tuned for mid range because the transmission tries to keep you there all the time preventing you from having fun.

Bah... do they authenticate each of this at a time or something? Bah.

Did anyone ever do a B6T exhaust cam, or find out if it had more duration? I'm considering swapping the pistons and exhaust cam into my B6 if I'm going standalone. Low compression w/better cam...
The diferance in performance is small.

I read it and it contains incorrect info i.e. Capri motor has different rods than gtx. I have read the exhaust cam has different specs can anyone confirm? If anyone has access to Mazda epc that can easily cross part numbers?
As stated by bbundy ON THIS PAGE, the capri motor is identical. Try reading more.
All except the rods they are all same miata junk except 323 gtx, which had more desireable "thick" rods. Now does anyone have access to mazda epc to confirm different part numbers on the cams?
